I have a split crowd- some who LOVE the parades and some who HATE feeling crowded. I am wondering if the crowd-aphobia people would enjoy the parades more if we could watch it while eating at a table instead of pressing right up to the front of the parade and being squashed.
Any ideas on this for either MGM or MK?
Are there restaurants where you can watch the parade and be served table service? OR counter service with a picnic area where you can view the parade?
I wonder about timing as well...do you get there 40 minutes prior to the parade?
Thanks!

you can eat outside of pecos bills which is along the parade route in the mk.

theres not a place i can thing of to eat along the route in mgm. but there are benches between star tours and indiana jones that are along the route and because they back to bushes or fences, people cant crowd in around you.

We just got back from WDW last week. The one not to miss parade, in our (suprised) opinion was at the animal kingdom.

The porch on Tony's in MK -- you will have an obstructed view from seeing the bottom half of the floats. We like to relax here and watch after we have seen the parade once already.

MGM - Backlot Express I think it is called. There are tables outside and one table inside by a window. The doors swing open at the end of the street, this is where the parade originates. We always watch from here, usually across the street on the Star Wars side.
