Where can we go to watch sports?

My DH is a huge Red Sox fan. We're going to WDW Tues for a week and unfortunately all the games are on TBS and WDW resorts do not have TBS.

I'm thinking he can go to the ESPN club. We'll also have a car... is there anywhere you would recommend close to All Star Sports?

definitely ESPN Club, just show up earlier than the game starts as there is sure to be a wait!
If you want to go offsite, I have heard good things about the Orlando Ale House which isn't too far off property.

We were @ ESPN 2 weekends ago & could not get in on either Saturday or Sunday, daytime, during the football games!!

Can you get an ADR for ESPN? I'd like to try again on our next trip. TIA.

If he just wanted to watch the game and have a beer and didn't need a table, they'd let him in, right? Standing room at the bar or something? I don't want to send him all the way there only to find he can't get in to watch the game. :scared1:

No it is first come first serve, no ADR, and I wish they did.

Yes he can go in and just stand their if he does not need a table.

sometimes if it is really filled to capacity they do close off the entrances (front and gift shop) and won't let people in unless other people leave. For an ALCS game on a weeknight, I don't think he should have a problem. The only times I've seen that happen was during Yankees/Sox ALCS games and some Sunday football games

KimWDW, like others have stated, get to ESPN early!

Of course, you could always drive about an hout to St Pete and watch the Sawx at Fenway South (aka the Trop) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Another option is All Star Cafe at the Wide World of Sports complex. It is much larger than ESPN. I much prefer ESPN but if it is packed you can always get into All Star Cafe to watch your game.

This closed about a year ago, and now is a quick service location.

There's a good neighborhood bar type place off site on Highway 192 that might interest you. It's called Sharky's and we stumbled on it since it was right next to where we were staying. TVs on the tables and lots of TV above the bar. The night we were there, they had baseball, basketball, and hockey on the main sets and turned our TV into the NASCAR Nationwide race for us. Good burgers and friendly atmosphere. It was obvious we were tourists but we were treated like one of the gang.

PM me if you want directions.
