Where Can I Upgrade Tickets?

Hi, our family of 5 is heading for our first trip to WDW in two weeks. We bought basic MYW tickets at our local Disney Store, but want to upgrade them to park hopper with no expiration. They told us we can do this "at the gate." Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where exactly would that be? We bought tickets at the DS hoping to avoid the lines of people buying tickets, but to upgrade are we stuck in the same line. MK will not be our first park, so can it be done at any park? Also, we are spending our arrival day at DTD. Is there any kiosk or ticket counter at DTD where I can do the upgrade? Thanks!

At Downtown Disney or at any theme park, go to Guest Relations. One is at the Marketplace end of DTD.

You can actually hold off on adding the hopping until you actually do a hop. So you have at least six chances to try for a short line at Guest Relations (1) at DTD, (2-3) outside and inside the first park you enter, (4-5) inside and outside the first park as you leave, and (6) outside the second park you go to.

You can expand (my term) the pass to have up to ten days (including the days already consumed) as late as 6 days from first usage. You pay the difference in gate price which could be as little as three dollars per additional day. You can add non-expiration as late as 13 days from first usage although you might want to do all this at the same time you add hopping.

The Guest Relations offices at DTD are located behind Summer Sands at the Marketplace and in the round building to the right of Wetzel's Pretzels as you are facing Saratoga Springs.

The hours are:
Marketplace: 8:30am - 11 pm Monday through Thursday, and 11:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays
WestSide: 9:30 am - 11:45 pm seven days a week.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can also have the MYW add ons done at Guest Services at the resort. In the past, this was not possible but with the new MYW ticketing software the resorts have, it is now.

Thank you for the info. I'm glad we can take care of it on arrival day at DTD. We originally were going to get 4 day tickets, but I convinced my husband that 7 day tickets were such a good deal. (It also guarantees that we will be back to WDW, since we can't use more than 5 days on this trip :teeth: ) DH wasn't keen on the idea of park hopping, but I almost have him convinced. And since we need to add the no expiration option, we may as well add park hopping and maybe even more days! At the time we purchased our tickets, there were 7 day or 10 day options. Is it true you can get 8 or 9 day passes now?

Yes there are 8 and 9 day passes now. The non-expiration is the same ($107. incl. tax) for 8's, 9's and 10's so you might as well bring up the pass to 10 days.
