Staying at the GF. want to convert our 7 Day PH to non-expiry. Where do I do this? Do I have to change them before the first use or can I convert them at the end of our trip?

Thanks!

I'd hop on the monorail and visit guess service at the MK.

No i do not believe you have to upgrade before first use as long as there are some days left on the pass, they have some type of formula they use to calculate the amount of credit to apply to the upgraded pass.

My friend just upgraded her park-hopper no exp for an annual pass last month

Guest Services at any of the parks can do this for you. You can convert them any time within 14 days of their first use.

How cheap is this that Disney is now charging for a non-expiring ticket? They've always just done this for free and, honestly, I think it's rather cheap of them. I hadn't even realized they'd done this until I went to buy tix for our trip down next week.

Actually, it was never free - it was just included in the cost of the ticket. You can actually pay less for tickets now since you get to pick and choose the features that you want.

Well, that's one way to look at it. Another point of view would be that they used to charge everybody for non-expiry, but now they only charge those who want that option, and those who can't use it get the ticket for a lower price.

The transaction can be done at the Lobby Concierge desk at the GF. You have 14 day from first use of the ticket to do it. It can also be done at any Guest Relations location at the theme parks or at DTD.

Keep in mind that the cost to add the non expiration option to that ticket will be $55 plus tax whether you do it before you use any admissions or if you only have one or two left unsued. The charge is based on the original length of the ticket, not what remains unused when you add the option.

So are you saying ticket prices have come down? It doesn't seem that way to me but I didn't check prices vs. what I paid last year. If so, then I stand corrected. If not, it's plain cheap. Look at it anyway you want....

It's more that you can custom tailor your ticket to what you actually need. In the past, you would often times end up paying for options you would never use. Some people end up with left-over options on tickets that they may or may not use in the future.

Is it $$55 for everyone? We have 10 day hopper with plus options. Can't see using all of that on our 10day trip!

The No Exp. rate depends on how many days the ticket was originally purchased for. It goes by the amount of days total on the ticket, not days left, so you still pay the same price for no exp before you use it, or after.

You just have to upgrade it within 14 days of it's first use, and you must be at WDW to upgrade. They +cannot+ do it on the phone.

I saw that one person mentioned it, but I just wanted to restate it to make sure the OP has seen it and doesn't waste her time...

You can upgrade your tickets at YOUR RESORT LOBBY CONCIERGE (or club concierge if you are a concierge guest). The lines are often much shorter than those at Guest Relations.

And to add No Expiration to a 10 day ticket costs $100.00 if I'm not mistaken. It is cheaper than purchasing a new ticket next year, when the prices will inevitably go up.

Thanks. I will do it at the GF on our first day. We have 7 Day PH. Anyone know how much it will be to upgrade them (2 adult/3 kids)?

Thanks for all the info everyone!

Does this also apply to upgrading to Park Hopper? After booking, DH decided he did want to be able to hop (after deciding it wasn't worth the added $). Can we just add that as well when we check in at the resort?

TIA.

As I said previously, $55 plus tax per ticket to add no expiration to a 7 day ticket. Same price for Adult & Child. :)

Yes you can. Adding PH is a flat fee of $35 plus tax per ticket.

Skent, you can add the PH to the tickets. It costs $35.00 per ticket. You just can't downgrade your tickets (i.e. you purchased the PH and decided that now you don't want it)
