Where Can I Make Personalized Family T Shirts?

While vacationing at Disney, I have seen large groups of families all wearing the same color t shirts with clever sayings and sometimes names on them. Where do you go to have these made? I found a website Cumostomink that does what I want, but they will only handle orders over 6. My grandson, his mother and I will be visiting in June and I thought it would be fun to print a shirt with our favorite Disney saying "MY FEET HURT! I MUST BE IN DISNEY. It would be nice to have a Disney item on the front but that is not necessary. We could perhaps have a family reference on the front. I read somewhere that some people do these shirts themselves. CRAFTER ALERT! How do you go about that. Thanks to anyone who can help me with these. There is a t shirt site called Zazzle that has Disney characters that you can put on the front, but you can not create your own saying on the back. Again Thanks.

I do them myself. You just buy iron on transfer paper, design it on your computer (then be sure to reverse the image and words or they will go on backwards) print and iron on the shirt. Just make sure you get the right kind. they sell it for light or dark colors. I love making personalized shirts and plan on doing this for our group of 8 for our trip in may. I just can't think of a great saying! Let me know if you want a good link to disney clipart. Oh and I got a good deal on ebay on 100 sheets of the paper. I split it w/ a friend and got 50 sheets for about the price you would pay for 10 at the store. I've been making all kinds of gifts with them.

:cheer2:

I ordered ours for our March trip from Disney Direct.com.They turned out great! :cheer2:

Thanks for the tips! I am starting to stockpile ideas and things for our trip and these would be great for our group!

We have been to Disney in both 2003 and 2004. We are going to Walt Disney World in 2005. Our first trip, the three of us., my grandson, his mom and myself we coined this phrase. "my feet hurt! I must be in Disney". Or we also say We must be in Disney because our feet hurt! I'm getting off the point here. I went to Disney Direct, and there were the T shirts that you can personalize. I guess they do not print on the back. They let you add three lines on the front, however, so I added my 'feet hurt' phrase and mom got "where is Grumpy? I got "Where is Jiminy? And my grandson , who loves pins, got Want to trade pins? It will be fun to wear these on our upcoming June trip. We are going in June. Our longest trip, so far. Can't wait 4 nights at POR and 3 nights at GF. Thanks Again

Great idea, I bet the shirts are really cute!!! Now, if only I could think of what to put on our shirts..... :confused3

That Zazzle website looks incredable! I ran Cinderella, and it does have her and the prince in her wedding dress for the person who wanted the wedding one!!! (we had a Cinderella themed wedding, wish we knew about these back then!!!) princess:

christinadei,
thanks for the great website. I am already getting started. I designed the shirt in 10 minutes with Microsoft Word and I am going to the store tonight to get the transfer paper. I am so excited. Making them this way will be so much more inexpensive than using zazzle. I really liked their site, but I wasn't able to design the shirt exactly like I wanted. The tip about reversing the image was wonderful!!!!!!! I would have been stuck :sad2: trying to figure out why the shirts looked backwards. :flower: Thanks!!

Don't forget to watch Michaels sales ads. I only buy shirts when they go on sale 2/$5. $2.50 is such a great deal. Check out ebay for transfer paper. I got such a good deal on there. There are several people selling them. Oh and if you buy colored shirts, make sure to buy the transfer paper for colors. Otherwise, the regular kind looks best on white or light shirts.

I love this idea!! :Pinkbounc

One question *noob alert* - How do you reverse the image? I've put something together in word but not sure how to reverse the image when I print.

TIA

This is what I've found: The words need to be done in word art in order to be reversed. You can change the size/color/font though, so you can make it look how you want. I always pick the blue/blue one that's a block looking type and straight and then jsut change it. ANyway, have the word art highlighted and go to the bottom left corner and click on the draw box, then click on rotate or flip, and then flip horizontal. If you don't have it selected, the option will be greyed out. As for the picture, highlight it and try the same. Some things I've been able to reverse and others I havent. I've found for the most part that pictures are usually okay as long as they don't have words on them or anything. Hope this helped. Play with it a little and always print it on paper before you print it on the transfer paper.

Just curious, what wording have people used for the shirts? We aren't have a grand gathering just a family vacation of 5..any suggestions?

thx :mickeybar

I'm not finding custom made T shirts on Disney Direct.com. Can anyone send me the link?

I've been going to Clothes, but don't see it anywhere.........
