I will have to buy a block ot day paypass for one day during our upcoming trip...I know I have to buy the day of (which is a Saturday so lines will be long anyway) but am hoping I can buy it at Guest Services instead of waiting in the regular ticket kiosks....

I think you can only get it at the ticket booth. That is where we bought ours for Thanksgiving.

You can also get it at Guest Services. We were in line there, and the family ahead of us got the blackout day passes.

Do you know if you can buy them at the GCH front desk? I know they have printed tickets for me before, but I'm really hoping we can avoid waiting in the monster long lines at the ticket booth for our trip in June.

I don't know about getting them at the hotel, but we got ours at Guest Services (as another poster mentioned above). The lines are much shorter there than at the ticket booths, and there was only one person ahead of us. We were done and on our way to the gates in no time. :-)

Thanks! I was SO hoping I could get it at Guest Services as their lines are much shorter and move faster than the regular ticket booths!

If you think you'll visit on more than just 1 black out day in the year a better option would be to upgrade your AP.

Yes, you can buy blockout day tickets at the front desk - we did that a couple of years ago. If you have any doubts about it, ask them the day before you need them just so you'll know for sure!

Yes, you're absolutely right about those lines. We were SO glad that we didn't have to wait in the ticket booth lines on that day. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Hey, thanks guys. I have to buy these passes on 5/2 and I had no idea that Guest Services was an option. You have likely saved me quite a long wait.

Does anyone know.....If you upgrade an existing AP, do they charge you the prorated amount for the rest of the year. For example, if we are 1/4 of the way into our AP year and we upgrade, do we just pay 3/4 of the upgrade price or do we have to pay the full $120 to upgrade?

No prorating. It is the full amount of the difference between what you paid and what the other one costs.
