Last week I had the filet with an excellent bernaise sauce at Shula's (in the Dolphin Resort). IMO the sauce was better than the filet. We had been looking forward to trying Shula's for the first time and were fully prepared to believe the posters who felt that they served the best steak on the property. Frankly, I was disappointed with my filet. Although it seemed to be grilled the way I ordered it (medium rare) and tender it was very dry without one drop of juice in the meat or on the plate. I know that filets are not supposed to have a lot of fat or juice, but I've never had one this dry. Thank goodness for the bernaise. We never complain or even comment on the prices of meals at Disney, but I don't think that this filet was worth $42.95 (nothing else included, no sides, salads, etc.) just for the piece of dry meat. We'll be back at WDW in March and I'll try a filet at some of the other restaurants. In the past I've ordered filet at Le Cellier, Kona and at Palo's on our Disney cruise). I just never remember a filet being that dry.
But back to the bernaise...the flavor was great.
