Where can I get breakfast at the Boardwalk?

We are staying at the Boardwalk in December. I just read Al Forno's breakfast is now a character breakfast. And the bakery only has bakery items and fruit for breakfast. So where do we get regular breakfast without leaving the resort?

What do you consider a "regular breakfast"?

You can walk over to Beach Club Marketplace and have hot food there, if that's what you're looking for. There has never been a quick service option at Boardwalk for anything other than what you listed above.

Belle Vue Lounge offers continental breakfast choices in the morning: pastries, yogurt, fruits, coffee. Trattoria Al Forno is a character breakfast, but I've heard it's still a regular breakfast if you sit outside. Maybe someone else knows if this option still exists. Otherwise, your best bet is to walk over to Beach Club Marketplace. It's not that far, and mornings aren't too hot for a little walk.

Room service! We love breakfast via room service, even if it's a bit higher cost than a restaurant. I just enjoy eating my breakfast and having coffee while still in my robe and PJs ;) .

But otherwise, Swolphin has breakfast at Garden Grove (a character breakfast, but it looks like food is a la carte not buffet) and at Fresh Mediterranean Market (which has a buffet and also a la carte items). There's also quick service at the BC gift shop, sit down service at Captain's Grille (which has a buffet and a la carte if I'm remembering correctly), Cape May Buffet (huge character buffet), and I also think the bar at YC has light breakfast items (pastries, fruit). Both Swolphin hotels and the YC/BC complex are easily walkable from BWI.

There are also breakfast options in Epcot. Buffets at Garden Grill and Askerhaus, but Les Halles QS in France has awesome pastries and quiche that we love to have for breakfast when we're in that park.

Bakery had more than bakery items in Feb. There was breakfast sandwiches, I think eggs, potatoes, and bacon meal.

All of the above, we love Med. Fresh Market at Dolphin, but you can also hop over to France in Epcot. They don't have a sit down eggs and bacon breakfast but do have some great choices.

Picabu at the Dolphin has all the main stuff...french toast, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc.

Beach Club Marketplace (Beach Club) and Captain's Grille (Yacht Club) are two non-character breakfasts within walking distance of the Boardwalk.

We got egg sandwiches at the bakery, as well as oatmeal. It's not just baked goods. Also, most mornings we ate in the lounge. They, too, had egg sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, etc. I don't like baked goods and carby things for breakfast, and I did just fine. But if you have time and don't plan to rope drop, Captain's Grille at YC has a great buffet.

BW room service is done through Trattoria Al Forno, the BW bakery does have some breakfast sandwich choices. Fresh Mediterranean Market at Swan and Dolphin is also short walk away.

Thanks guys! Very helpful. We ended up switching to the Comtemporary. We didn't want to travel for breakfast. I'm one of those 'hangry' people. Lol! And room service is too expensive. We usually stay at moderates and are so use to the convenience and variety of the breakfasts. It made no sense to us to stay somewhere that cost more money that didn't have that.
