My DH is crazy about all things Disney, especially Tinkerbell and I would love to get a picture of the two of them together. Is there anywhere that we might catch her? I'd appreciate any imput... Thanks!

Yeah, Toon Town. However, GET THERE EARLY. Or be prepared for a long wait. I believe Toon Town opens at 10:00. Get there and wait at the rope about 9:30 or so. Maybe even earlier if its a busy season - we went in Feb and 9:30 was about right, although we were not the 1st ones there. Within 10 minutes of Toon Town opening, the fairy line was almost an hour.

Thank you......I can't wait to see the look on his face when he meets her!

Is Tink as a character something new? I haven't been in a little over a year... Please tell me they didn't make Tink a character...

Used to be you could only see her in her box at Tink's Treasures and flying overhead from the castle during Wishes.... right?

I believe they did make her a character right after her movie came out. We were in Disney last October right before the movie came out and DD#1 was wearing some Tinkerbell clothes I had sewn for her and a CM told her she should come back in a few weeks and meet Tink. I thought they were some place else too where the idea was not that the fairies were life size but that by some pixie dust you were shrank down to their size and you could visit pixie hollow. But I haven't been back since this so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, Tink is a character. You can meet her along with 2 other of her fairy friends at the character greeting in Toontown. When you enter the greeting area you shrink down to fairy size so she doesn't seem little to you :goodvibes .

Definitely get there EARLY. Rope drop for the area when we went in November was 9:45. There was already quite a crowd. Within minutes of opening the line was an hour long.

Yep! Tink herself started meeting back in October! She is inside the ToonTown Hall of Fame, which is also the "County Bounty" gift shop - it's the big gift shop in ToonTown, can't miss it! If you enter, the line to the fairies starts on the right. As everyone said, the lines can be slow!! Even if the line doesn't look horribly long, they take only like 3 families at once and let them take like 5 plus minutes (probably more!) to meet the fairies. So the line moves in lurches and it can take forever!

Lines of 60 plus minutes are rather common, it seems! :faint:

Tink often meets with 2 other fairies, which could be Fawn, Rosetta, Iridessa, and Silvermist.

Even with the long line, meeting Tink is a must!! :)

As everyone else has said go early!!! We were there early and the wait was 75 minutes. But FYI, the princess line (which is right next to the fairy line) moved super quick and were in and out in 15 minutes.

The sign said 45 minutes when we were there. After 45 minutes, we hadn't moved AT.ALL. It was a loooooonnnnnnggggg wait (in February!). It was so worth it though. I will take my boys when we go back. They don't love Tink as much as I do, but they will love the experience, I am sure!

Ugh... well obviously I 've been out of the loop and off the DIS for awhile. I suppose if I were to do a search I would probably find people like myself who have already ranted about how ridiculous and disappointing they find this, huh? :rotfl:

Tink has long been a favorite of mine, and part of what I loved about the character was the semi-intangible-ness of her.

Is it safe for me to assume, then, that they are at least refraining from having her skipping all over the park? At least they tried to account for the fact that she's suppose to be very tiny by creating the ridiculous "shrinking machine." :sad2:

Sorry...it's not actually even a shrinking machine. It's just a hallway and they tell you that you shrink. I wasn't listening too well and didn't hear that partl. The kids told me afterward that it had been said. So I guess it's a ridiculous "shrinking hallway".
