Where can I find the Dining Plan Prices?

We are headed back to the World Aug 1-8 and I was thinking about adding either the DP or the DDP. I called and was given higher prices then what I have seen online. Does anyone know of an official WDW site that I can find the prices. I have seen peak and regular prices and the CM told me there is no such thing that the prices don't change based on season just that they go up every year. I know they go up every year. She told me for the 4 of us that's me, DH, DS (13) (who's considered an adult at WDW) and DS (8) the regular DP would be an extra $1,204. and the DDP would be $1,925. Does this sound right? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Maryann

P.S. She was confused by the different codes and I am afraid she might have been mixed up with the 2012 rates. I am going to call back and double check.

The sticky at the top of this subforum gives the 2011 prices.

The 2012 are listed in a few threads around, most notably the "2012 prices" thread here in this subforum.

CMs have been quoting what we now know as the 2012 prices for awhile over the phone (and holiday pricing at that), so it's not entirely unheard of. However, if they add it through their computer, the resultant price quote comes out correct. So even if they quoted you at $53.54 per adult per night, over the course of 10 nights, your total would only go up about $459.90 (45.99 x 10) and not $535.40

Ok, reread the initial post, and no. There are no official sources. This is highly debated as to the reason, but it's likely either a) Disney is trying to scam people into paying higher prices than they would spend OOP, or b) they got caught with last year's prices on their site during the new year and someone complained so they removed them all. (Ok, that's slightly biased ;)).

The 2011 and 2012 prices have both been distilled via math over several package iterations in order to best insure that they are correct.

As a note, these CMs are notorious for offering invalid information regarding the dining plans. Everything from the wrong credit counts to pre-end of year restaurant lists being full, to accepting restaurants, to the costs of the plans. They are simply nowhere near as good as the people around these parts (and, I'm sure other boards) who have done the research and have the experience.

Many of the phone CMs are likely not have never visited a Disney park (the call centers are not in Orlando, and most (if not all) are not even in Florida)

This thread though, it precisely what I am complaining about... With Disney blatantly refusing to give out clear cut prices. OP can't even figure out if they are being charged a correct price. Those prices do sound high... It sounds like those might be the 2012 prices.

Thank you both. I finally was able to book the regular DP for $1,098. Was never able to get anyone over the phone to tell me the break down of the prices though. Since I booked in late April under a package that isn't available anymore the CM had to get in touch with guest services. It took nearly 30 mins just to get it all straight. But it's done and it's near the price I had thought. Thanks again.:cool1:
