Where can I find soda pop bottle caps?

DH started to make fishing lures from beer caps a few years ago to sell at local craft shows. The business has really taken off and we've had a lot of requests for pop caps instead of beer.

I've bought some from Ebay but I was hopping that someone might know of an alternate place to get them. The caps don't have to be new but we really needs ones that are pretty flat or that DH can bend back.

Any ideas besides Ebay or Craigslist?

I wonder if you could buy them directly from a soda company that makes them, like Stewart's root Beer.

Look for home beer brewing supply companies. You can buy them through those companies and they won't have anything on them. You might be able to come up with your own logo and put them on there.

We do have some blank ones but the idea is for the lure to have the brand name on it. You would believe how many women stop at our booth, pull out their phone and call someone asking "What kind of beer does Uncle Joe drink?".


Of course, the fish probably wouldn't know the difference between a MGD cap or a Coke cap.

There are a lot of vintage bottle caps listed on this site. They are mostly old varieties of sodas.

Google POP'S Arcadia Oklahoma. It's a local place, gasstation/roadside cafe that sells over 100 types of soda, mostly in bottles. The have boxes full of caps where people pay for thier drinks then open them with an opener. Maybe you can arrange to have them send you a box for the cost of shipping. Other than soda, make friends with a bartender.....they usually pop the tops off the beer bottles and they might be willing to put them in a box for you to pick up.

I won an auction last night on Ebay for a lot of about 200 of them. If the picture is accurate, about 1/2 of them are popular brands. Now, I've got to place the order with the fishing supply company for the parts. Craft show season is sneaking up on me this year
