where can i find park maps

i would like to get detailed park maps ( like the ones you get there)
to help with our planning my DD's 8 and 10 are really excited about helping but wanna know what is where

any ideas?

can you get them anywhere other than at the parks?
or is there some way to get them from the parks?

You might try buying a Disney-specific tour book (like Passporter) to get a good map. Go to Barnes and Nobel and look around.

even passporter and birnbaums don't have specific enough park maps (like where restrooms/smoking sections/character greeting places are) You'll only find those in the park...

the best way to go about this - would be to have someone going down there mail you some. The parade/fireworks/other current information might be outdated when you go (which is why I believe they do not make them available outside the park.)

I'm headed down there tomorrow - I could do this for you if you'd like. (but please don't yell at me if I totally forget! heheh)

Are there any maps available for Fort Wilderness showing the camping sites....

These are the best maps of all WDW parks on the web. Though they may not be up-to-date, they're only missing the very latest such as Mission: Space. You'll need Adobe Acrobat to view them, but then you can zoom in and print off page-size versions.
