Where can I find free samples?

I would like to stock up on more samples (especially laundry detergent) before our trip. I remember when we used to have a thread devoted completely to getting samples. Then, I guess companies quit offering as many. Now it seems as if the thread has totally died.

So, do you know of any great samples that are out there now?

The only samples I get are toothpaste from the dentist. With 5 of us, it seems like we are always there....they have the sample crests on the counter, we take one at each visit.

This may sound weird however; when we vacation, I do not check luggage and I rent a car. So, first stop is at Walmart where I buy suave (or whatever is on sale) shampoo, soap etc. I spend 40 bucks or so and most of the stock is depleted before we leave (again, 5 of us). I throw what is left away and come home with my carry-ons. With the checked bag fees, waiting for the luggage, having to arrive so early to check baggage....it just does not fit our lifestyle.

PS, for detergent, we use the Purex sheets...they are great. I put them in a baggie and they go in my luggage.

Walmarts website has a sample section. Sometimes they have many things or times just 1 or 2. You can also go to the company of whatever your looking for and often they give free samples for just signing up.

Also try Procter & Gamble's site--PGSolutions.com (I think, or something close to that)

Try google just search free samples and see what comes up. I also go directly to the web sites. Like my dogs eat kibbles and bitts I type that in and go directly to the site.
