I have had the foie gras at Bistro de Paris and California Grill and I know it is at V&A but is there anywhere else on property that serves it? We are going in 12 days and I can't wait to have it again. Thanks for any info.

Arthur's 27 (Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa at DTD)

Sauteed Foie Gras $20
Spiced red cabbage, apples, hazelnut baklava, sauce cassis

Victoria & Alberts. By the way, I think Arthur's 27 is no longer in business.

IMO I think foie gras should outlawed. These geese and ducks are force fed food and tortured by this so that you can eat their huge livers!!! Please don't flame me for this, since this is my opinion.

I wonder who would make better foie gras, Daisy Duck's liver or Donald Duck's liver?

I researched how they feed the geese and ducks and it says they have no gag reflex plus the grain goes in in a few seconds. I know there is a big debate going on though. :)

Disnut, I agree with you. You would be happy to know that they are no longer serving this in Chicago.

Besided the one's already mentioned Wolfgang's Upstairs has...

Duck Three Ways - seared Hudson Valley foie gras mousse with an apricot tartlette and duck proscuitto

Other than that I think our list is now complete.

About five years ago, I was at a conference at WDW and dined with several associates at Portobellos over at PI. I know one of our party had a foie gras appetizer there that night, but it's not on the current menu (which for whatever reason changes at that particular restaurant quite frequently). I've also heard (but cannot confirm) that the Duck Sausage element of the Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Duck Sausage entree at the Brown Derby at MGM contains foie gras.

The best foie gras I had at WDW was at Victoria and Albert's. I also had it a couple of times at California Grill and it was very nicely prepared: seared (which I feel is the best way).

I do think that foie gras will not be available in this country within the next five years. Enjoy it now!

your opinion wasn't requested. The question was, "Where can it be found?"

I didn't even know what it was. I knew how it was pronounced as I've heard of it....we watch a ton of FoodNetwork around here :goodvibes . But I didn't know what it was exactly. Now I know! I should probably look into it further. I've never been able to eat veal after learning bad things about how the calves were raised. But I also believe....to each his own. I have a flock of chickens for the pleasure of it (and eggs) and I still eat chicken.

It's perhaps one of the greatest - if not the greatest - of flavors that I have ever experienced. On vacation at Martha's Vineyard, I once had it as an appetizer and then had it again with my dessert. The chef thought it was pretty cool. And I was in heaven!

Randyl that is exactly how I feel. I have never even tried any kind of liver but when I was in New Orleans 10 years ago I had foie gras not knowing it was goose liver. Both my husband and I thought it was the best tasting thing ever and asked the waiter what it was. Now we order it whenever we see it on the menu and it is always great especially in Disney.

I had foie gras for the first time when we had dinner at Victoria & Albert's a few months ago - I was curious and I figured that a 5-star restaurant was the best place to give it a try.

It was incredible - I'm looking forward to having it again when another special occassion presents itself.
