I called JCPenney's, but theirs are $149 and not on sale this week. Where else do they sell these?

I bought mine at Costco for $70 last week. They have the 1.5" Turbo digital for $70 (shipping included) on their website. I bought mine at the store and it's a different version.

Don't know if they are on sale but Ultima carries them... do you have an Ultima in your area?

Try calling your salon. They might be able to order it for you. I know mine does this. They wait until they have a certain number of orders and then there is a discount (but I think it's still around $100).

I just saw them at BJ's for $79. I plan on getting one in a couple of weeks.

I just broke down & got one today from my local beauty supply store (the kind that you have to have a license to get into). A close friend has a family member that is an employee there, so she got it with her discount. I got the basic 1-inch black Chi - it sold there for $109.95 and we got 20% off - so around $93 with tax. Of course since I knew she got a 20% discount I got a bunch of Chi products to try as well.

I plugged it in as soon as I got home & can tell you it is MUCH better than any cheap flat iron I've used in the past. I've used the cheap Conair & Revlon ones that you can get at any drug store (total junk) and one from my salon - I think by Hot Sets or something like that, for around $45. That one broke after about a year. It's 90 degrees & humid here today, and I have to go out later, so we'll see how it holds up.

I was going to get one through Amazon - they were around $70 - but I read pages & pages of reviews & there were a ton of bad ones. People claiming they were fake, or they broke quickly (and there's no warranty on the ones sold on Amazon according to the reviews). I'm hoping those bad reviews were far & few between. I checked eBay too but just didn't want to spend that kind of money if I wasn't sure. A lot of them on eBay or Amazon say made in China or Korea - they told me today at the store the real ones are made in the USA - and mine does say that. So not sure if they really do outsource & real ones ARE made in China/Korea, or what. But I just wanted to throw that out there because I saw a lot of banter about that on the Amazon reviews.

Good luck finding a good deal on one. If this really is a good flat iron then I'll consider my $93 (ok $110 after all the Chi product!) well spent.

The girl who does our hair, said to go to Ulta. They give a life time warranty on their irons. Everybody in the salon goes there and gets their work station irons.

I think I am going to order it from BJs for $79. My mom has one and my daughter has used it, but I just need to confirm with her that we are getting the right one (1 inch). Thanks!
