where can I buy disney dollars?

I am looking to buy some disney dollars for my kids to spend when they get to disney. I want them to earn them for cleaning rooms,helping out,etc for our May trip to disney. I dont want to collect or save them, just want to buy some for my 2 kids to spend but I havent found a place online to buy them. Anyone know? Please email me if ya know, this is our first time to go to disney and can't wait! Thanks! Michelle

You can buy them at the Disney Store. They come in 1s, 5s, 10s. You can also buy them once you get to the Parks.

I don't have a Disney Store nearby, and don't know anyone close to one. Would really like to get some for my kids for Valentine's Day and Easter baskets.

I gave my daughter a check register from my check book and we "deposit" the disney dollars everytime she goes "above and beyond" what we expect from her. She works hard to surprise us when we least expect it. When we get to WDW or DL, we head straight to the bank on main street and I pay for the dollars she has earned.

One other thing we have found is that we do not give it all to her the first day. Say we are going for 5 days and she has $50. That is $10 a day. She can spend it, or save it up and buy something bigger. That has caused her to really think about what she is buying. That also saves us from going into every gift shop every day. We promise and keep to it that we will take her back if she really wants something.

You may be able to call WDW Merchandising 1-407-363-6200 and see if they can mail some to you. I'm sure you'd get charged for postage though.

Thanks for all the great ideas, for I will be using them as rewards for my disney princess as well. I do ask though, can you use disney money at check in to buy park tickets? We have a lot of disney gift cards that i plan on using to buy disney money before we leave in April. Thanks for any help.

the cost is $3 for s+h for 2-3 week delivery or
$10 for s+h for 5-7 business day delivery.

you can get them in 1, 5, 10 , and 50 dollar increments.

I just called and they told me that you had to write to them and tell them:
Where you are staying, & for how long
The ages of everyone in your party.
Also, it is a express $10 shipping charge reguardless of how soon you want them. I told her I didn't need them until Sept. and she said that is all they offer.
Then, they couldn't tell me where any Disney stores are, so I had to call 2 other numbers to find out where they are....
