where best to go when it rains

we are leaving this friday to go to Disney...which park would be better to go to when it rains...We have a 17 month going also and a 9year old

The best park to go to while it is raining is the one where you want to do the most. Crowds will be lighter. If you are pertaining to the most stuff inside out of the rain, then I believe EPCOT FW would be the best.

I agree - Epcot probably has more 'inside' stuff. But there's lots of stuff to do in all the parks even when it rains... so if your kids want to hang out in Magic Kingdom - stay & play. At least the crowds will be lighter.

You may want to purchase rain pancho's before you go... or at least mark yours in some way so your 9 y/o can find you if you get split up.... imagine being lost in a sea of yellow Mickey slickers!

Chances are it will start raining in the afternoon when you may already be in a park, and only rain for a short while. But if the forecast calls for rain all day, then I would agree with Ratpack and go to the park where you want to do the most stuff. And don't forget the ponchos.

It's a little tough with a small child because you don't want to get them sick. If it's not a concern take advantage of the lighter crowds and the cooler weather.

MGM has a lot of indoor or covered activities. Most of them are good for small kids too. Beauty and the Beast show, Little Mermaid Show, Bear in the Big Blue House, Great Movie Ride, and Indiana Jones are all covered. They also take a while to get through so you will be covered fro about 20 - 30 minutes on each.

We don't have children, but we love the Animal Kingdom when it rains. The animals seem to enjoy the cooler temps and are more active. Because there are fewer covered attractions, the park really clears out with rain.
