We are going to WDW in Oct. I'm just getting into scrapbooking. My best friend said I will love doing it. We shall see!! Anyway I'm starting by doing a book of our trips to WDW. I picked up a few things here at a local store that is Disney but where is the best place to get stuff at WDW?

Thanks for any help!!

The DTD store doesn't have a ton of stuff. If you're scrapbooking, it's a must, but don't expect it to be the size of your local scrapbooking store but full of only Disney stuff.

Remember to save your EE and EMH wristbands, maps, guides, coasters, heck almost anything in the parks and resorts with a logo on it!

The gift shop right near Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort has a lot to choose from.

So does MouseGear...I think this is the big gift shop in Epcot.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Remember to get one nice, new copy of each park map.
I have pockets in the back of my scrapbook & that's where I put those.
I also put in the map of our WDW resort that the CM gives us at check-in.

i found the resort gift shop (we stayed ASM) had basically the same items i purchased at DTD WWM store. So, if you are going to DTD just for that, you will find the exact itmes in the gift shop or the park resorts. Now, for me, i regret not buying the 2007 Red Disney scrapbook when i was there. :rolleyes1

In addition to the shop at downtown Disney, there is one in MGM, I think called Writers Shop, near the Streets of America. They had a nice selection, if you happen to be going to MGM. Also, check out any of the large stores where they sell the photo albums, you never know what kits, stickers etc. they have there.

Happy shopping:goodvibes

also, Mousegear in Epcot had a large selection if i recall.

The shops all carry the same scrapbooking stuff. I don't remember seeing anything that was exclusive to one particular store - not even the Memories shop at DTD.

I bought my scrapbooking stuff from the World of Disney store at DTD because with our Disney Visa Rewards CC I got 10% off! :)

WoD store gives the 10% off to anyone who shows their Disney Visa Rewards credit card.

Forgot to mention....in AK, there's a giftshop back by Kilomanjaro Safari that sells a safari/animal kit...I used that for many of my AK pages.

That shop is the ONLY place I have ever seen that kit.

I found some stuff at the photo store near Spaceship Earth in Epcot.

We went to Disney in January, I looked and looked at the red 2007 scrapbook and also did not buy it! :sad1: I was so mad at myself ! It would have been a perfect way to display our 1st Disney trip pictures! I searched online and found it on ebay. Ebay had all the scrapbooks that I remember seeing in the stores, and lots of stickers too. I think I ended up paying more than if I would have in the park ( shipping) but to me it was worth it.:)

I have bought a few of the paper punches at the resort shops.

Really, I have found more Disney scrapbook atuff at my local scrapbook store.

How fun! Scrapbooking is a great hobby - but be warned, it has a way of sucking you right in! :)

I agree with the pp's, that World Of Memories is fun to look in, but don't expect to be blown away by product. Most of the parks carry the same things, although I have only seen safari related items at AK, and Mousegears had an album that I only saw there.

Michaels, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby, etc., will usually carry quite a few Disney related items. There are also a few websites that are devoted to mainly Disney scrapbook items.

Enjoy your newfound hobby!
