what is the PAP? we only go for a fortnight every year so I didn't look at the annual pass as I thought it was only if you went throughout the year.

It is the Premium Annual Pass, Ali. Gives admission to the waterparks, Disney Quest & main parks etc for a year, but with the DVC discount it may even work out cheaper for a fortnight's holiday - it depends how you use it really.

If you do lots of popping in and out of parks on different days is gives great flexibility & freedom. If you would only visit the parks for say 7 full days (or possibly a few more, I have never done the maths) then the MYW tickets may be best.

I love my PAP as I can visit a park for as little as an hour and not feel I have wasted a day's admission. Plus I did get 38 days' admission out of it last year when we had two trips

With the AP / PAP you can also get the Disney Dining Experience card which gives 20% discount on meals at full service restaurants (and a few counter services where a full service restaurant doees not exist at a resort). It also gives you 20% off at WDW lounge bars. It costs $50 but we saved over $300 using it last trip, so definitely worth it for us - and it will still be in date for our next trip next August.

If you go more than once a year its the best, plus don't forget that you save $9 a day on parking fees if staying off site

Time to get the calculator out....!

Okay, I've worked it out now - based on Miffy's prices above vs Magic Your Way tickets from Ticketmania, the break even for an adult annual pass is roughly 11 days. A 10 day MYW non-expiry with park hopping is about $80 cheaper than an annual pass and you will pick up a single day ticket for less than that.

For a Premium annual pass, it's probably nearer 12 days because the difference between the price of a PAP and a 10 day MYW non-exp, with PH and plusses is almost $170.

However, as you say, with free car-parking and the other discounts available to annual pass holders, you could say that annual passes are actually even better value than my calculations suggest.

I've converted the $'ss to £'ss and it costs around £250.00 for the annual pass.

A 14 day unlimited pass for all Disney parks etc costs £158.00 for 14 days unlimited entry. The 21 day is £177.00.

Therefore unless you are going to stay in site and eat meals in disney restuarants, then it is cheaper to get the 14 day or 21 day unlimited pass, which can only be purchased here in the UK. Also you get a ticket not a voucher.

The 14 day ticket works out at £11.60 ish per day.

If you are going to have 2 disney holidays in one year, then the AP is a lot better value.
