i'm curious to know where people are from. there are all sorts of opinions and beliefs on here that have opened my eyes a bit.

feel free to give more info other than general area. state would be nice :) :goodvibes

i'm from long island, new york

I didn't know how to vote. I'm from Louisiana, but we are NOT the Southwest! I consider it to be the Southeast, but in your poll I would say South Central.

Long Island here.

It looks like you left out PA. I think they're considered mid-Atlantic.

Wisconsin, aka North Central Midwest, or Western Great Lakes Region. Geez, everyone has a different name for where they are from than the ones in the poll? :confused3

uh oh, how do i add PA?? i have no idea how that happened lol i looked at a map divided by "regions" and then just picked. i know people lump states together differently lol

how do i add PA? if i can't, can PAers vote on mid-atlantic with NY and NJ? thanks and sorry for the mistake!

I'm in the most southern part of the Poconos... about an 2hrs from Jersey, 2hrs from NYC, 2 hrs from Baltimore. Nice place to visit. :)

I am originally from northern virginia....but personally, I don't consider northern virginia to be the south at all...maybe the rest of virginia, but not NOVA IMO.

Now I am in Los Angeles and i love it

I don't believe Delaware, Maryland or the District of Columbia have ever been identified as "south" anything. DE and MD are mid-atlantic and DC straddles geographic and political borders. Your poll is very inaccurate.

I didn't vote becuase I had no idea WHERE to put. By from do you mean where I lived as a child? That would be East Texas until about age 7 and visiting every summer after that and Boulder Coloado (an then even Nederland--which at the time was where those who were TOO hippie/out there for Boulder lived :lmao:)

Or do you mean where I have lived as an adult (Arizona, Indiana, Michigan, New Hampshire and Wyoming)?

Or where I live now? Heidelberg Germany (the Nothern edge of Southern Germany--and about as perfect as you can get; though Lakes Region of New Hampshire was pretty darned near perfect too:thumbsup2).

So, anyway, I am "from" whichever of those you want tme to be from (and I always hate the where are you from question because I do not know how to answer--I tend to answer with where I am currently living, but people give me a hard time for saying Germany since I am obviously not a native German:rolleyes:

I'm originally from one of the NYC boroughs but am now in Pennsylvania.

You know how they say you can take the girl out of the city but you can't take the city out of the girl, well it's true:goodvibes

Wasn't sure if you meant where we live now or where we're originally from. I live in Kentucky (Lexington) and have since I was 13, but I'm originally from Michigan (St. Joe).

Oh, I chose South Central since that's where I live now and have for quite some time.

Born and reared in Florida!

Where is "other"? There has to be an "other" ;)

I'm from NY and NJ - which I thought was considered the Northeast. I never considered myself mid-Atlantic :confused3
