I did live in New York for the first 6 years of my life & I lived in North Carolina for 3 years due to DH being in the military but I've spent the rest of my life in Florida.

Haha. I think that joke is more centred in North Jersey though. The only highway near me is 55, but yes I do have an exit off of that I like to call my own.

I'm from Florida...but we're as far away from the Atlantic as one can get, and still be in Florida.

The folks in the "Atlantic" part of the state think different than those of us along the northern Gulf Coast. We don't claim "them", and they tend to forget about us...except at election time.

I am from CT & moved to CT.

I am originally from Trumbull, CT/Fairfleld County but I moved when I got married to the Old Saybrook area of CT-about an hour away. A little too quiet for me plus my family & childhood friends are in Trumbull. My dh is from this area of CT & hated my area because it was so crowded. Um there was a mall down the street, Stop & Shop a mile from my house, I could walk/bike ride & constantly change my route because there are more streets then where I am now (small town).

I have lived here in South eastern part of Va for a decent chunk of my life, but I was born in Tennessee (my DF was military and they lived in Kentucky, but mom didn't want to have me on base, so they went to TN for my birth) From there we moved to the Azores then came back to the States and my DF retired from the military here, we stayed here because my mom is actually from here.
