Where are the Toy Soldiers?

This might seem weird, but I have watched a couple videos of the Christmas Fantasy Parade this year, and the toy soldiers are not to be found! Did they get booted this year? If so, that makes me very sad, because they were by far my favorite part of the Christmas Fantasy Parade. Does anyone know any information about this?

Another site states that the Toy Soldiers could be found at DCA as a stand alone unit.

Looks like they might be performing in some performances of the parade, as they do have different levels based on crwod size, so you do get more performers on a very busy day. Also, it is based on the CM's that can work, so during this time of year, you might find that the slower wekdays when some folks are still in school.

The Toy Soldiers at DCA is just a small 4-man drum line. They wear soldier costumes, but not the one's we're used to in Christmas Fantasy.

I was very disappointed that the tin soldiers weren't in the parade and will be making my feelings known.

I don't think so. The girls that I think should have been snowflakes were still there skating in white fur costumes. I'm not sure why they weren't dressed as snowflakes.

OK, I thought you meant they weren't out at all. We have seen them with and without the snowflakes within the same week. I have a hunch that piece of it is weather related, maybe due to wind?

Yeah, the toy soldier drummers at DCA were actually pretty great, but they're not the same as the parade soldiers at all, and their presence shouldn't affect the parade.

I'll be very disappointed if they aren't in the parade when we're there next week. I know a lot of people who say the soldiers are their favorite part of the parade.

Idk, it was hot and no wind on Thursday. The fur costumes looked quite warm to me! I don't recall seeing them before and I had told my daughter there would be snowflakes, so I was bummed, but oh well. She was happy to see Santa.

I went to City Hall yesterday, and asked the cast member. She made a few calls because they were trying to find out. It looks like the toy marching soldiers are needing a little TLC. The cast member said that they're a little rusty, so they're getting polished by Santa. I don't know if that means they're out for the entire season, or just a few days or weeks.

To my recollection, the snowflakes disappeared last year, if not the year before. I miss the snowflakes, too.

The snowflakes left last year on the skaters. The skaters were still in the parade last year. I didn't look on the videos this year, because I was to upset at not see the toy soldiers that I didn't finish watching any of the videos.

If you find anything else out about the toy soldiers, could you let us know? I'm not as upset about this as I would if I still lived in the area. I'm probably not going to make it out to DLR this year for Christmas, but I would still like to see them in the parade.

That's a shame about the snowflake skaters. We have seen them both with and without their snowflakes and I do prefer the snowflake version. Since they are still an element in the parade, I just assume there is some sort of operational issue with the snowflakes.

One of the youtube channels that post Disneyland videos has posted the Christmas Fantasy Parade WITH the Toy Soldiers! They are officially back as of Nov. 21, 2016 (Not sure if they came back earlier or not)!!! I'm glad to see them back in the parade. They are my favorite part!

So annoying. They are my favorite part of the parade, and were not available when we saw it last Thursday. I wonder if they will edit in some old footage for this year's holiday special. (Parade was taped last Wednesday).

Why on earth did they not have this taken care of long before the holiday season started? They had what, like 10 months?
