Where are the standard pool view rooms at AKL located ?

We just added 3 nights to our ressies at the AKL in June but went with a standard view since we are at WDW 9 nights. On Deb Wills site, she shows some standard view rooms facing the pool. Does anyone know what room #s these are and what trail or location they are on ? I would like to add that info to my requests. Sooooo excited about staying at AKL again !!

Hi Minnie's Guy,

There is a difference between having a standard view room booked or having a pool view with a standard sized room booked.

The standard view/standard sized rooms are located on the Ostrich Trail and the Giraffe Trail facing the parking lot.

The standard sized pool view rooms are located on the Giraffe Trail and the Zebra Trail and face inwards to the Uzima Pool area.

So if you have the standard view room booked I would request to be on the Ostrich Trail so that this way your room will be not be on the way to the bus stop. Please keep in mind though that this is only a request and you could end up on the Giraffe Trail.

Thanks for the info Tiffany,
But if you look on wdwig.com, they show some "standard catagory" rooms that are classified this because of partial obstruction with roof lines, but are still facing the pool area. They look like they are on the Zebra trail above Boma and Mara. Those are the rooms I was referring to. I wondered if anyone knew those room numbers.

Now that is the first I have heard of these types of room. Interesting. I would be interested if anyone has stayed in those rooms also.
