Where are the Princesses?

I dutifully booked CRT for my November Trip, only to later learn that ONLY Cinderella is there. When we were there last year (August, 2002) our CRT breakfast included Belle, Aurora, Mary Poppins, Snow White and Cindy. When I asked what happened, they explained that it was out of control to try to get in to CRT, so they moved the princesses to PSB in Epcot. No problem. I tried getting in there, but it was too late! They are booked. Any tips for getting that done? If not, where else can my worried little princesses meet their heroines?

I feel so badly that I let them down on that, after I woke up three mornings in a row to try to get what I thought was the best Princess breakfast.

Rest assured, there are princesses at CRT as well.

Don't feel bad about missing the PSB breakfast. You can always try closer to the actual date to get some openings. As for the best breakfast, I would have to say that for character interaction, they are the same. For atmosphere, CRT would win. For food, the PSB would win. Basically it comes out as a wash in my book. Your girls should feel great to know that they got at least one of the breakfasts.

Cinderella is the only one that they guaruntee will be there. There will be other princesses, but they do not specify which ones will be there. In August we had Belle, Mary Poppins, Snow White, and others that I cannot remember at the moment. The same goes for PSB breakfast. There, we saw Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, and Mulan. There is a Princess Storytelling session at Epcot that you can meet one princess there, but that changes daily. Pocahontas is at AK and readily available on Discovery Island.

Overall, I would have to say that the best place to find the characters would be Epcot, with the character caravan and the countries. You can find Jasmine in Morocco and we found Belle and Esmerelda in France. If you just ask around, usually you can find out if and when the desired princesses will be appearing!

The Princesses still appear at CRT for breakfast. She's usually joined by the Fairy Godmother and other Princesses as well. The Princesses do varry day to day however and exactly who will be attending. Snow White, Aurora, Belle, and Mary Poppins are some of the more commom characters in attendance.

Princesses also appear outside of the meals as well (just in case you're looking for a specific Princess). Snow White can usually be found at the challet by It's A Small World and Ariel is at Ariel's Grotto in Fantasyland. Belle and Esmeralda are common in France at EPCOT, and Jasmine can usually be found by the Magic Carpets at MK and Morocco in EPCOT. Last month, I also managed to spot a number of Princesses at the Sorcerer's Hat at MGM (Spotted Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Meg, and Mary Poppins) and at Innoventions West in the Character Connection (Aurora, Mulan, and Snow White).

I wonder why they told me at WDW-DINE that this had changed so drastically . . .

I am hopeful that you are all correct about CRT. It sounds too lovely to be disappointed.

And, with the right information, I can help the girls in their quest.

Many many thanks.

Unfortuantely, it seems the CMs dont always know the answers to the questions. Just a few weeks ago we were in WDW and were checking out Le Cellier. We struck up a conversation with the CM and mentioned we want to eat there on Christmas Eve. She said be sure to make a PS. We then asked if the CP packages were available yet(I was pretty sure it would be sometime that week). She wasnt sure and went to check. I thought, great Id get a correct answer, she was probably calling the dining line. She came back and said no, you couldnt book it yet and last year they opened up 60 days in advance(of every day???) and to check back in October. I knew that was incorrect, went back to our room, called WDW-DINE,and we were able to book it right then.
Dont get me wrong, Im not bashing Disney or the CMs. I know they work very hard and do a great job, but more than once I have gotten drastically incorrect info from them and if I had listened I would have missed out big time.
Glad it should all work out for you. :D

We just had breakfast there on the 26th.

Cinderella, Snow White, Princess Aurora, Belle and Mary Poppins were all there.

I think they can only guarantee Cinderella.

My daughter is a Sleeping Beauty nut. Anyone know where she is most likely to appear. I've been to WDW several times and don't remember ever seeing her (of course, i wasn't really looking then).

The CM was right and wrong: You can now book CP via WDW Dine ONLY (as opposed to making PS "in person" at a Guest Relations location.)

As far as the Princess situation, the information on the reservation system that the CMs get their information from says that only Cinderella appears at CRT. CMs are not making up incorrect answers. I can think of three possible reasons for the inconsistency in the program: the lineup was changed back, but the information screen was not updated, or Cinderella is the only princess that is guaranteed to be there, or the spiel is intended to preserve character integrity (*how can the princesses be at two different parks at the same time?*)
In any event, I think it wise to take stock in the idea that the CMs are not stupid or trying to ruin your vacation, they are giving you the information that they have been given, and are doing so to keep you from being disappointed if you arrive to CRT to find only Cindy and her friends Suzy, Perla, and Fairy Godmother (which can and does happen).

REXMUNDI: Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora) is almost always at the CRT breakfast. She is my favorite!

I can't believe they're actually telling people you won't see any princesses except Cinderella... imagine her having to work the room by herself...

this must mean that Cinderella is the only princess guaranteed to make an appearance. There will be four of her friends present, but there's no way to guarantee which ones will show up for your day at the castle. They must have been getting a lot of questions about which princesses attend the breakfast.

We have seen plenty of princesses at both CRT and PSB. This trip we are going to try 1900 Park Fare. I am shocked that we were able to get a PS with only 30 day notice.

Last June we found Sleeping Beauty by the International Gateway in Epcot. There was no one else around so our DD's got to spend a lot of time with her.

Actually, Sleeping Beauty is one of the harder princesses to find. How do I know that? Well, it is a somewhat long and stupid story having to do with the SBP breakfast, the princesses on the other side of the room, a butterfly release (DD REALLY loves butterflies) at the Flower and Garden Festival...............and my thinking we could just pop out for 15 minutes, see the release, and not miss the princesses. Well, you can guess how it worked out. Let me just say it is amazing how quick those darn princesses can work a room, and how very little time they actually spend at a table. I know, I know...............what was I thinking?

But there was a happy end to this sad (ok, dumb) story. As a result of missing the princesses the manager at PSB was very helpful in letting us know where we could find those princesses. Most can be found in a World Showcase country. Sleeping Beauty, however, makes very limited appearances. One place she can be found is the International Gateway in Epcot. She is usually there twice a day and if you ask a CM they should be able to find out when. So, after my......shall we say........ less than stellar judgement we told my daughter that Sleeping Beauty was going to stop to meet her, and we went to the International Gateway. Aurora got there a little later than usual, but she did in fact show up and my daughter had her all to herself. She got much better interaction than you usually have at the breakfasts. From there we then saw Belle and Beast show up in France...........another great private encounter. Then we hit Jasmine and Aladdin in Morocco..........and had them all to ourselves. To be honest, we enjoyed seeing the Princesses in the countries more than we ever had at the breakfasts. In the end we saw the butterflies (even got to hold some), got the girls..........um........princesses, and saved the day :).

Oh yeah! In EPCOT we got to see Jasmine and Aladdin. No one else was around. They were just standing around talking to each other. Belle and the Beast were also in France but they had a line. Not a long one though.

We got to see the Fairy Godmother in the castle at her throne!

One more thing. In the ToonTown Fair, my DD got an autograph and a picture with Cinderella outside of Mickey's house. She was standing with the two mice. The picture I got of her signing my DD autograph book, she was a LEFTIE!!! (like me!)

THEN, the Cinderella at the castle was a RIGHTIE!!! Hmmm.....ambidexterous?

Yes, because of the Magic of Disney, all of the characters can write with both hands. Don't ever ask them to switch in front of you, though. They don't like showing off!!! ;)
