Leaving tomorrow morning:bounce: Where are the closest outlet malls to OKW? Thanks for the info in advance.

Prime Outlet Mall is located about 2 miles from OKW just east of I-4 across from the Crossroads Shopping Center (you can see it just before you get off at the I-4 exit to Lake Buena Vista SR535). You can also get to it from International Drive. The next closest would be the Outlet Mall of Lake Buena Vista on SR535 about 1/2 mile south of SR535/SR536 intersection.:bounce:

We asked for directions at the front desk of OKW and they were very helpful.

For what it's worth, we found a MUCH better selection at the Belz outlet than Prime Outlets. Belz is quite a bit farther (about 25 min drive vs. 10 minutes for Prime), and it's not the easiest location to find. But we walked out of there with over $100 worth of stuff vs. nothing at the Prime.

Silly me: I looked at the thread title and thought it was an electrical question :p

I agree that Belz are way way way better. They have 2 Character Corner (Disney outlet) stores -- very good. I went to Orlando on a convention and stopped in one evening at Belz -- I came home with more stuff than if I had gone to Disney World!

I think Belz is for the serious shopper with a car. We all got really good deals on shoes out there the last time.

But Prime Outlets is a really enjoyable window shopping location. A little too close to Disney for the deals to be any good. There is another group of outlets towards I think Kissimmee...it had a good lingerie outlet in it...can't thing of the name but its the same humongous outlet in Reading, PA...VF brands I think.

The deal of the trip I found out at that new mall out east. Outlets don't always give you the best bargains. Let us say I've got a supremely Zoftig figure and I found a fantastic selection of suits that fit at that mall. They stock for southern and older women...they are too far away from the tourist areas to focus on them.

PS. If you are wondering I DO NOT shop on my WDW trips. But I DO outlet shop on my USF/IOA trips.

got to love shopping in Orlando.
We always bring One set of cloths and four empty suitcases.
Leave worrying about the airline weight limits

I thought the same thing. As a matter of fact I asked "where are the outlets" back in December before our Christmas trip to see if I could hang Christmas lights on my balcony.:p

Sorry about the confusion, guys. Thanks for all the info. We thought we might try going shopping if there was anything close enough. We'll see how the weather and everything else is going. The car is packed and we're leaving at 6:00 am!!!!!

No need to be. It's really funny to think about our language and the many different meaning that words have and what people think of when they hear or see them.

Have a great trip. Wish I had the car packed too.

I've just got to say that last Oct. DH & I went to both malls & found great deals at ALL OF THE Disney outlet stores. I bought $300 worth of clothes & gifts at the Premier Outlet Character Premier store (across from I-4 near WDW) for ONLY $80!!!!
At the Belz place,DH bought an $85 jean jacket with the 75yrs logo on it for $20.00. Great deals can be found at both. Belz had some great tent sales, too.

I usually do very well at Premiere Outlet Mall. I have found the Disney store items, and really all the outlet prices to be pretty much the same at both Premiere and Belz. We have always been very pleased with the discounts--they are better than our local outlets at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Premiere is much closer to WDW and much easier to get to then Belz. I love Premiere, I did 99% of my Christmas shopping there last year. It was wonderful, I got great gifts at reduced prices and then took them back to BWV and had them shipped home!
