Where are the elevators in BLT?

We are heading to BLT in June (2BR standard view) and I am going to add a room request to our ressie - upper floor, not near elevator. We are not picky about the view, but really do not want to be near the elevators. Not very keen on ground floor either. Is there just one set of elevators at BLT or is there one in each section (from maps it looks like there are 3 sections - north, cental and south)? Just wondering how many rooms could possibly have lots of elevator (or elevator traffic) noise. Also are rooms far enough from lobby to avoid lots of lobby noise?

I know there are no guarantees with the request, but I figure it never hurts to ask.

There are at least 2 elevator banks, maybe 3. If you don't want a lot of noise, you could request to be away from the walkway side.

I highly recommend 7216 as a SV dedicated 2br. This room is convenient to the elevators, but not on top of them (very quiet) and has a terrific MK view. It's tough to get a specific room request like that, but it worked for us. :)

There are 2 public elevator banks between the 3 sections.

section - elevator - section - elevator - section

I actually don't remember the rooms being near enough to the elevator to be able to hear any noise. We weren't terribly far from the elevator and we near even heard a sound from the halls. I would concetrate on requesting a higher floor - the views (all of them - not just MK) are beautiful

Work2play has an excellent thread showing a map of BLT and photos and reviews of many of the rooms (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2257082). The North elevator bank is between rooms xx14 and xx16, and the South elevator is between rooms xx30 and xx32. Since the Skybridge to the Contemporary begins at BLT's 5th floor South elevator alcove, perhaps the noise and traffic level would be the highest in that area. However, we are on the 10th floor and just a couple doors from the South elevator, and noise and traffic is NOT a problem.

Also, the rooms on the first floor are Standard view. If you have requested a Lake View or MK, you won't be assigned a first floor room.
