Just wondering. We have a very small house and, 5yo DD remembers the last 2 places she found them...in the shower and, under a living room table. I'm trying my darndest to think of someplace original but, in this MESS, she'd probably miss it!

So, anyone have some good hiding places?

;) :p

Kids sure do have good memories don't they? I've never hidden them in the house. Normally, I have the kids set their baskets on our front porch before they go to bed. EB then fills and they find in the morning. Although, I do like the idea of hiding them and if not raining in the morning I may move them off the front porch and into the yard.

Oldest dd (7) doesn't really believe in the EB this year, so I need to make things a little more of a challenge for her!;)

Youngest dd (5) still believes whole heartedly.
:D

Let's think... where were mine hidden 40+ years ago - and where did I hide them 15+ years ago...

On top the washer or dryer
In a kitchen cabinet
Under a sink
behind an overstuffed chair
In the refridgerator (one year when my dad ran out of places)
on TOP the fridge (Dad had to get it down)
.
.
.

My kids are weird.. they wanted to get the baskets, put the grass in it, fill the eggs, and set up thier own baskets! The baskets are now sitting on the kitchen counter.

I guess they dont' beleive in the Easter bunny!

We hide ours in the one place that's always been off limits.
Our walk in bedroom closet. Our DD never even thinks to look there for Easter baskets, presents, etc. because it's always been off limits to her.
She isn't even peeking around for these types of things yet.
She's just happily waiting for the Easter Bunny to come to our house. :)

Haven't ever hidden the Easter Baskets. We do the Chocolate Eggs hidden but I also leave a trail of them from her bed to where her Easter Basket is (usually the living room).

She stopped beliving in all of it last year and was quite upset when I didn't leave the trail.

I won't do it again! Great Idea though! Maybe next year!

When I got a little older my mom made a treasure hunt out of it. She left clues in plastic eggs that would lead me to it.

Three of the most memorable places were:

In the garage in one of the cabinets
In the oven
Right next to my bed.... and when I got up I threw off the covers and it covered it up. (Mom knew that would happen) I think that was one of the most diffcult ones to find

Have fun

Debbie

Mine too. We leave the empty baskets on the kitchen table before the kids go to bed. If they are good, their baskets will be filled when they get up on Easter Sunday. The eggs are usually hidden in the yard. This may be the first year they are hidden in the house....it's raining out now and they are predicting rain tomorrow too. Kids won't mind -- as long as they get the goodies!

You mean she found them before Easter morning or you hide the baskets for her to find on Easter morning?

The Easter bunny always left my baskets at the foot of my bed. He changed his routine for my son, though. Travis's baskets were always left on the coffee table in plain sight. The eggs were hidden outside but the basket was always in plain sight :)

No hidden baskets here either. The empty baskets are sitting on the hearth. The baskets will be in their room when they wake up.

Happy Easter Everyone!:D

We've never hidden baskets. The baskets are left empty when the kids go to bed. When they get up, the baskets are filled and decorated, waiting in the living room.
The eggs are hidden outside later in the day by the adults, while the children hide their eyes inside the house. Then, everyone runs out to find the eggs and hopes to find the Lucky Egg (it gets you a small prize or money).
With our kids, we take turns hiding the eggs. They love to hide them for us to find, too. So, we end up having several egg hunts. Happy Easter to all! :D

Amongst the mess mate:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

But you need to remember where you put them & how many:)

It works well for me.................no better place than amongst the mess.;)

DSs filled basket is out on the end table in the living room. Bunny is in the process of hiding the eggs.

The Easter Bunny doesn't hide baskets at our house. The kids leave them out in front of the fireplace and the Easter Bunny fills them. He then puts a blanket over them so the cat doesn't attack them during the night.

My parents would hide the candy around the house and leave us an empty basket to fill as we got our loot. If it was in good hiding places my dad would play "hot, cold, warm". There was always a guaranteed forgotten hidden piece of candy and usually by the end of the day someone would almost squash whatever it was.
