Where are the CurveyDis'sers???

My Curves is not going to be closed in the middle of the day anymore! The best time for me to work out is between 1 - 3 PM & that's when they were closed. So now they'll be open straight thru from 7:30 - 7:30, Mon - Thurs - til 5 PM on Fridays and Saturday mornings from 8:30 - noon! YAY!

I'm another fellow Curves-Dis'er! I had my first weigh/measure in last week -- found out they had obviously measured my arms wrong (came out to my losing 15 inches on my arms in a month LOL). I lost inches everywhere and some pounds to boot! The first 3 weeks I was going, there were circumstances that only allowed me to get there 3 times a week. I've been going 5 times/week for the past 2 weeks, and it has really paid off. As of today, I have officially earned my five pound clippie that I have been working on since I joined WISH! This is my first post since I changed it, so I'm hoping I did it correctly!

I didn't know they allowed people under 18 to join the program. How great to have someone in your own house to keep you motivated to go. I have met some great people, and the 30 minutes really flies by.

OK ... obviously my clip-art didn't work the first time. If it doesn't work this time, I'll be looking for more help! I just went into my profile and deleted what was there, and replaced it with the new link. Here's hoping ...

Congratulations Mary Liz! Keep up the great job your are doing. :Pinkbounc Your hard work is paying off for you. :D

Hello I am a curvy diser too!

My first weigh in was about a week ago and I lost 3.5 inches.
Did not lose any weight.

My least fave machine is the one you bend down with.
I hate it!!!!!

We don't have the one you all were talking about.

I think we need about 25-30 more people before we get a new machine.

I don't care about their diet stuff. I am trying to drink more water and watch the amount of sugars, starches that I take in.
(as well as carbs).

I wish mine was open during lunch time. They have been talking about changing hours, but who knows when that will happen. They have only been open a about 4-5 months.

Good luck everyone!

Congratulations Lisajl. :bounce: Keep up the great job you are doing.

I think after enough people join they will add more equipment and increase the hours. That is what most places have been doing.

Just remember you are turning fat into muscle now so it does weigh more. Don't get discouraged with the scale not going down. You know it is working if the inches are going down.

I beginning to hate that machine you bend down with too. They keep telling me to go up faster but I feel like I am getting light headed when I do it.:(

The squat machine is my least favourite too. Although I have to admit, I don't dread it as much as I used to. Our club is new so we only have 8 machines (I wish we had the glute one everyone was talking about), so it's 3 rounds. Depending on timing, I try to do an extra 2 machines at the end, however if I have to start near the squat machine, I certainly do NOT do that one a fourth time!

I too am trying to drink lots of water, cut down on sugars, and most especially, the amount of bread I eat (that's my downfall!). Of course my dh and I just got back from dinner at the Keg (we needed some time out without the children), and as I looked at the sourdough bread, I decided "what the heck ... I want it, and I'm going to eat it". My weight may not come off as fast as it should, but at least mentally I can say that I am OK with my decision. And since today was my weigh-in day, I most definitely won't do a "sneak weigh-in" this week!
