Where are the critters at?

Me again.

Being an animal lover I most likely will go to Animal Kingdom.

Is there a list of what animals (live, non human, non animated) can be found in each area?

I have a AK map a Disser sent me but it's a little vague.

Does anyone one know of a list of what's where?

Years ago, I bought a field guide book at the Animal Kingdom. It shows pictures and describes all the animals and birds found at different places throughout AK. Not sure if it is still in print. We bought it at Island Merchantile at the check out counter.

Basically, everywhere.

Starting when you walk in, there are animals (mostly birds, but also some small mammals and other small 4-legged sorts) throughout the Oasis. Once you cross over into Discovery Island, there aren't a lot actually on the island, but from there most of the animals are in Africa and Asia. There are 2 walking trails, the Pangini Forest Exploration trail in Africa, and the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia. Both of these trails feature animals that are native to those particular areas. For example, Tigers in Asia, Gorillas in Africa.

There are also some animal habitats in the middle of the pathways (I seem to remember some small monkeys near the entrance to Kali Rapids), and of course, on the Kilamanjaro Safaris there are a LOT of animals.

Yikes! I didn't see the eight year old info. However, I think that most of the animals are probably in the same location as when that info. was posted. They set up and themed the little areas for each creature and they seem to be in the same places each visit we've made. Having said that, there may of course be some changes. At least it is something you can print out and go by - ask any CM's nearby if you are looking for something specific.
