I am gold and booked our Fantasy June 2022 cruise yesterday but noticed only one AFT Starboard room available on deck 9 (which I booked) but tons of port. Seriously??? I didn't book a particularly unique cruise. I understand Disney holds back rooms but one AFT 5A starboard side available, really???

Does anyone know if 5E's have been recatorgized? Also no AFT verandah's (5Es) available when I booked yesterday. Sersiouly or is Disney holding them?

The online stateroom display only shows 8 available rooms at a time. It defaults to displaying available port side rooms until a category fills, then starts showing the starboard rooms. If you saw 7 port and only one starboard in the aft 5A category, it was likely getting close to showing more as the remaining port side rooms booked.

One strategy is to book the available starboard room, locking in the price, then return later and search again to see if a “better” room is now open. Once booked, can change stateroom online if you find one is available. If it’s the same category, your price will not increase even if the prices have gone up in the meantime.

I planned to return and see what staterooms pop up. I was t aware of the room release strategy Disney had in place.

Yes, the default on the website is basically going from lower numbers to higher...and starboard rooms are higher numbers. If you want a starboard room, you'll need to call or have a TA look for you.

We booked the September double dip on the Dream. I have to have a starboard room to see CC, so I initiated a Chat instead of calling and they changed the room for me. It wouldn’t let me chose a starboard room online.
