Where are all the Red Sox fans???

Just got done talking with a client who just got back yesterday from the World. She brought up a somewhat funny observation. Last year everybody's brother had a new Red Sox hat or some other apparell all throughout the parks. She thought there was some kind of special deal going on with a convention from Boston or something there were so many. This was just after the series. This year they didn't see even one! Funny that she would notice this and she isn't even a baseball fan...but based on her observation neither are a lot of other people!

I did notice last Nov and in April when I was at WDW, there were Sox fans everywhere! Bandwagon jumpers probably
I haven't gone into hiding yet, but am pretty bummed out
Still plan on wearing my Manny shirt when I fly to WDW next month.

When she told me this little observation I said that's not so bad. We there last year right after the world series and I wore my cardinals hat a couple of days!

Well, DH brought his Red Sox cap and probably would have worn it if it had been sunny! The cloudy weather might have had something to do with it. I was there last week. Last year we went in late October, the weather was sunny and the series was the following week. Everyone had one on!

Still now (and always will be) a Red Sox fan here, but alas, our season is over, so like another poster said, we're all rooting for the White Sox now. Time for them to break their curse!!!

I still wear my Red Sox stuff. I'm a fan no matter if they win or lose. And as far as I'm concerned New England is still the home of the World Champion Red Sox whether they won it this year or another. In my heart they will always be champions!!!

I don't wear hats all that often. But on Saturday, I wore my 2004 AL Champs t-shirt. I'm certainly not hiding. The true fans are still fans. But then you have those people who were only fans because they won.

And you'll see in my signature that I'm now rooting for the Astros. I'm sure many people are wondering why that is. Well...given that my family came over on the Mayflower and hasn't left Massachusetts yet, we're born Red Sox fans. But since I was born in Texas (while Dad was stationed there), I've got to root for the Astros now.

Didn't see tons of people walking around WDW w/Sox stuff before the World Series win, that's for sure. All I ever saw were pinstripes, and they don't look good on anyone
Keep wearing the Cardinals gear, they're a great team!

I might even wear some Phillies gear down there. The team that hasn't made the playoffs since 1993. That has won only one world championship since its inception in 1883. That took 32 years to make the World Series and 65 more to win it. That has set a North American sports record by losing 10,000 games. The team that just fired its general manager.

Red Sox fans? White Sox fans? You have gotten off easy. You're not truly cursed unless you're a Philadelphia sports fan.

He started out with the Devil Rays, went to the Braves and then most recently was with the Mets...he did play in Pawtucket though when he was in AAA Richmond and Durham....it's such a thrill to see him pitch
