Where are all the Newfoundlanders?

Well where are you?Just wanted to say a quick Hello!!!I was just in St. John`s this past summer visiting relatives and miss it already.

Well, thanks for the mention! I think that is the first call for a nflder on the board since I joined! There are only a few nflders on DIS. I haven't been on the boards lately because we are not headed to Disney this year. So its hard to read about everyone else's trip.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed our fair province. It is definately a diamond in the rough and I would highly encourage everyone to come visit!

disney2003, this past summer was the third time in a row I was up there.All three we took the ferry up.Once to Port Aux Basques and twice to Argentia.I was also there twice before when I was very young.Don`t remember too much though. I wish I could live there!! I miss parking up at Signal Hill and looking at the city....and oh yeah Tim Horton`s!!!!!!!!!I was there every morning and sometimes in the p.m. Take Care! If you see Paula Rowe or Dawn Walsh (my aunts) tell them we say hello and miss them.LOL!

Hi,

I don't think there are many Newfoundlanders on the Boards. I've been using them for the last few years and find them great. We have gone to Disney the last three years and decided to take a break this year. But here I am again thinking about possibly heading down in May. I can't seem to stay away.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to St. John's. We love to have visitors come see us so that we can show off our beautiful province, and dispel the misconceptions a lot of Canada seem to have. The Europeans have caught on and are coming over and buying our land and putting up large homes. We've actually now got our very own castle! Did you get to see it while you were here?

Last summer I actually took my mil and mom(who is from St John`s) to NFLD.A strange experience,but fun.Unfortunately I did see the castle.I also get the Downhomer magazine and there was a picture of it in there.It was a nasty shade of green.Beautiful piece of land,horrible choice of design (my opinion).I won`t be taking the ferry to NFLD until maybe summer 2007.My wife is due with our second girl this summer and she doesn`t want to go.We are going to Disney in Dec. 2006.So I`ll have to miss it a little while longer Have a Tim`s medium double double for me please!!
