So, when I called on my ADR mark, right at 7, there were no F! packages for the 25th or 27th, I asked for it second (after CRT), I would have liked to put that ADR at the end of my trip, because we're staying for 2 weeks, but the Sep calendar wasn't out, so I didn't know when F! was showing. (I did try to book one for Sep 1st, just to see if the CM would be able to, but she said no). I booked MM for the night I wanted anyhow, but I tried again on the 90 days out from the exact date...got through at 7:01 with no wait time to try for the F! package, and still nothing??? What is going on here?

I just got off the phone and booked one for September 6th, I left it to the very end too because in the beginning of the call I asked and he didn't think it would be on his list... so the very last thing before we hung up he checked and it was there for a 3:45pm dinner Hollywood and Vine with an 8:30 showing..... Maybe it is wrong... :confused3

We are going for 12 days so I have to call back and make the last ones...

I even got LeCellier :banana: dh will be so happy.... Got up at 3:45 am icky... oh the things we do for our kids... :rolleyes1

the girl I spoke to got me so frustrated. If I didn't have to wait on hold I would have hung up and called back. I couldn't get a fantasmic package either. Well I guess we will have to look at our adrs and try to move things around and see what we can get.

That happened to me as well, but I did get so frustrated that I did hang up and call back. That was a mistake because the ADRs aren't finalized until the end (shopping cart feature) so the few I had made with the first CM were gone. Luckily there were still available.

We did get our Fantasmic DP, but are really debating whether to keep it. First of all - eating dinner at 4:00 isn't something we are too fond of. Secondly - with the old, separate entrance for those with dining "tickets" gone we have to go through the main entrance (and crowds). Though they have a reserved section for the dining package folks, I've been reading that you need to arrive at least 60 mins before the show.

I think it is the 90 + 10 thing that is messing things up. People who are going a few days earlier than us are booking up all the slots 'cuz they can book 10 days out. That + the fact that they no longer show Fantasmic every day is leaving very little availability. I called about 7:30 on our 90 day mark (which happens to be the start of the free dining which we do not do 'cuz we're DVC) and was on hold 1 hr 48 min. Since we don't do the free dining and have to pay out of pocket I was extra frustrated with this scenario. Fantasmic is showing on 3 nights while we're there but by the time I got thru, the only place left with any availability was one day out of the 3 and it was at the Brown Derby which was my last choice and it was for some abusurdly early time. :headache: I took it but am not happy with it. For what the Brown Derby pkg. costs I could pass on seeing Fantasmic but DS wants to see it again (we usually see it every other trip). This was the first time I ever had any problems booking the Fantasmic pkg. for the place I wanted.

I agree that the 90+10 rule has a lot to do with it, and I'm not complaining about the rule, because I also used it...people got to call prior to me and book into my trip, as I did to others./ However, being that my trip was half August and half September, it made it virtually impossible to get the F! package, as I said in the OP, the dates in August were booked at my call date and right at 90 days, and the Sep dates weren't out, so I couldn't plan around them, and had to book other ADR for those dates...it just surprises me that not 1 F! package was available to me, at any time...maybe next time.

The CM that I got yesterday booked us for the Fantasmic package and MM on Sept 3rd. She said they had it on the 1st but it was all booked up. Hope that helps!

Hi -

When I called dining reservations, their recording stated that you can now make dining reservations for your entire stay. Did I misunderstand this?

I'm in the same boat. I called at 7am and got all of the ADRs I wanted, except F! package at Mama Melrose. I settled for Scfi, since I will have 3 young children with me.

The 90 plus rule benefits everyone. You get to make ressies before other people arriving the day after you and beyond till the end of your stay. It all evens out in the end. Just make your hardest ressies for later in your stay.

Sorry for going off-topic but All ADR's finalized at end/shopping cart feature...is this new?? Used to be that CM would give you a separate conf# with each individual ADR. Now that you have to wait til the end seems you stand a chance of losing it to someone else in the meantime...anyone advise?

If you are staying onsite, you can call at 90 days out from your check in date and make ADRs for up to the next 10 days. If you are staying more than 10 days, you must call back at 90 days our from your 11th day.

1) It does not even out.
2) It is possible for you to not get ANY of your ADR's.
3) Example1:
. . . you stay 7-days, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th
. . . Fred stays 10 days and starts to book on the 1st
. . . you can be aced out of all of your days by his days
4) Example2:
. . . you stay 7-days, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th
. . . Fred stays 7 days and starts to book on the 1st
. . . you can be aced out of your days, except the last day, by his days
5) Now, multiply Fred by the 25,000 rooms at WDW resorts
6) So, you can see it can be VERY unfair.
7) The old way of calling daily was better, as everyone had a chance.
8) Kind of a "fastest dialing finger wins" environment.

I called this morning..there is a Fantasmic package available (for table of 2) available at HBD, but the time is 3:35. That is just too early for us, since DS wants lunch at Sci-Fi :confused3

Yeah. I had to take like a 3:40 slot at the Brown Derby whenever I called. I'm irritated first because we are not doing free dining so it's out of pocket, second, it was my LAST choice of restaurant ($50 pp) and third, who wants to eat a big meal at 3:40?! That is such a screwy time! I may eventually cancel if I can talk DS out of seeing Fantasmic this time. I would like to try the Brown Derby sometime...but if I don't do it for Fantasmic I can get a TIW discount... :confused3
