We're from N.J. and going to WDW in Nov, too. I had the same problem with airfares out of EWR or JFK--all non-stops were $500+ for the 2nd week in Nov.
Monitered all the travel discount sites for four months and the fares were not diminishing!
Finally figured out that it must be Supply and Demand (this is "Jersey Week", and all the WDW fans in our area will be there!!)
Considered doing a connecting flight, but it is undesirable for our party, which includes an elderly woman and an autistic child.
So, I wound up changing our vacation dates from Sat-Sat to Wed-Wed and got the non-stop airfare through Continental for low $200s.
Perhaps if you considered moving your dates you would find a better fare.
