Hello!

I am planning a trip for WDW between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2003, probably staying at the WL. When is the best time to make ressies? I take it that I can book now but CRO won't quote a final price until the 2003 rates come out. So should I wait to book or do it now and keep a lookout over the next year for special discount codes?

Thanks!

I'd wait- but on the other hand I'd reserve!!! We were planning a trip for the same time this year when the great AP rates came out. When I called, even after the big rush of AP callers on Sunday, they had plenty of rooms at WL and AKL. Although we would have to reserve a courtyard view or a savannah view rather then a standard view. But, even at that, you're still getting a GREAT price! And nothing beats a courtyard view at WL! The reason I'd go ahead and reserve now is because you can start paying it off monthly and have it adjusted when the new rates come out in the late summer. You could possibly have it totally paid off by the time you go, plus have a little extra to spend because the new rates took your price down! I like to do that- it's a "forced " savings for me and even though I may be losing interest from a bank, I know the money is going exactly where I want it to go and not to a bank where I can take it out.... This is how we, who have NO discipline with our money, do it!!! So, either way is a good way! You will love the WL that time of the year. We were there last year at that time- it's now my favorite resort!

The rates for 2003 are out and you should be able to make a confirmed reservation. You can then try to obtain a discount for your travel dates if and when they come out next year.

Book now what you can afford w/o discounts. Then when / if discounts come out you can move your reservation.
