When's best for February?

DH has all of a sudden decided he NEEDS a Disney trip and who am I to argue

We've been in Feb before and enjoyed the weather and low crowds. My question is what events typically happen in Feb that can effect crtowds? I know ther's the Marathon but when? Anything else? His b-day if the 3rd so we're definitely looking at that weekend. But need to keep options open due to his work.

The Marathon is in January, so that's not a factor. It's really Presidents Day weekend and into the first part of that week that is very crowded. The rest of the month is manageable.

Just wanted to add that Mardi Gras is the end of February. I know this is mostly celebrated in Louisiana, but most of the state seems to visit WDW that week. This year it falls on February 28.

President's Day is February 20th. The weekend before starts getting a little crowded. Dayton is also the Sunday before President's Day and that adds a little bit to the park action (not too much, just a little).

We always go the week before President's Week and have found the week to be perfect weather and crowd-wise.

I have recently read that the National Cheerleading Association will be there from February 9 to 12 but I have not found them to be too much of a bother. The only park that was effected greatly because of the cheerleaders last year (that I noticed) was MGM where the competitions are held.

Thanks!! I'm getting my Jan and Feb trips mixed up. I think we'll stick w/ the 1st weekend since it seems less stuff going on and being DH's b-day it all just seems to fit.

We went this year in Feb over Mardi Gras week and also was the SUperbowl. We saw lots of Mardi Gras colors everywhere and the parks were packed beyond belief for a Feb. It was miserable!
