We have purchased the DDP:thumbsup2 but I have one really big question. I am currently eyeballing a 6am flight which would put us in Orlando at about 9:30 and at the Resort at about 10:30am. Does the Dining Plan start from that day and continue THROUGH the date we check out OR is it from the time we check in the hotel at 12pm(hypothetically) until we check out at 12pm? I suspect we would have a light breakfast that morning but I was wondering about the rest of the day and the day of checkout.

ALSO, I am considering expanding our Disney excursion by two more days. but I am not neccesarily sure that I am going to extend the park tickets. I just figure we could use the two extra days to relax, maybe go to Universal for a day. Can I purchase the DP for the extra two days WITHOUT having tickets to the park?

The DDP starts from the moment you check in and until you check out. But keep in mind that if you have credits when you check out, they are still valid for that last day. For instance, we checked out the morning we were leaving, stored our luggage, and then went to the parks since our flight was in the evening. The credits were still good.

As for your second question, I'm not sure, but I think that the above still applies. The DDP is for length of stay in their resorts. Technically, you only have to buy a one day park ticket to qualify. Perhaps someone else can verify this.

Dining Plan credits are valid from the time you check in until midnight of the day you check out. You get credits for each night of your reservation, regardless of how many days of admission you purchase, so as long as your extra two days are part of your original reservation you should be okay. However, that you may bump up against the requirement to make changes at least two or three days prior to your check-in (not to mention bump into capacity issues at your resort), so you might need to make up your mind sooner, not later.

WOW! This is the first time that we are staying on site. So, are you saying that if we are at Disney and we a re just LOVING IT:love: , we can't add a day or two to our original reservation once we get there? Do we have to make another reservation? I know about the whole 45 days in advance thing but you can't make an onsite ressie?

It's not a matter that you "can't" -- it could be that there simply is "no room at the inn". When are you going?

May 9-13. So I am looking to possibly add the 13th and 14th and check out on the 15th.
