When you're sick, do want to be babied?

I just like to be left alone and sleep! My DH will bring me a drink or meds, but I don't want company or being fussed over! My DH...omg, you'd think he was DYING, he is such a baby, constantly needs/wants something and complaining. My DH is somewhat like me, he keeps pretty quiet when he's sick! I try to not bother him too much because there is nothing worse than someone constantly asking if you want something when all you really want is to be left alone! When my DD is sick, she would prefer it if everyone joins in her misery! She is sick and she wants everyone to know!!!

I am in the leave me the Heck Alone Camp. I've got the flu now-yuck. Dh tends to hover like a helicopter which drives me right up the wall. I wish everyone would move out and leave me alone until I feel better- . My dh on the other hand likes to be babied when he's awake-if he's sleeping he wants to be left alone. He likes to baby me, I think, because I got bacterial pnuemonia once and was very very sick. He thought I was going to die-I was pretty sick and refused to go to the hospital-I just felt to bad to go and wait in the ER. So for 2 weeks he hovered-I think he's afraid I'll get that sick again-especially since I rarely get sick. Guess after this bout with the flu (first time ever) I'll start getting the shots. I hate being sick

My mother always said I was her favorite kid when all of us were sick. I would go in my room and close the door. She'd stick her head in once in a while to make sure I was still alive and bring me chicken noodle soup but aside from that, I wanted nothing to do with anyone. I really haven't changed much.

DH is the same as me--DD likes to be babied a bit but mostly wants to be left alone pretty much when she's sick.

I like to be babied when I'm sick. My ex-husband always did. He used to go out and get me special things like extra-soft tissues and hysterical magazines (you know the ones with headlines like 100 yr old mother has 2-headed alien baby) and stuff like that to make me feel better. My current husband couldn't care less if anyone is sick. He just wants to know what's for dinner and why is the house a mess.
