...do you ever think "God, I am so DULL!!!!!" ? I swear, some of the stuff I read about what happens in people's lives makes me think I am the most boring person in the world! I get up, go to work, come home, eat dinner. DH and I get along fine, we're happy, we go to WDW every once in a while. No financial troubles, no legal troubles.

I am very fortunate I guess.

Dull is never a word that springs to mind when I think of myself. :sunny:

But yes, I do consider myself very fortunate and blessed. :)

Doesn't it scare you though that you are "fortunate", whenever I start feeling that way, something always stressful happens.

Yes, I'm really kind of boring. It is scary though when things are going well, you are kind of waiting for the axe to fall. Heres to hoping that everyone's lives will stay positive and calm.:sunny:

I too, am boring, dull, fortunate, and have not been blessed with a very vivid imagination either........

Oh, how I wish I had a dull and boring life again! I remember feeling that way in my early 30's--then I got divorced and it seems like my life has been one crisis after another ever since. (Divorce, moving cross country, father passing away, 2 weddings--not mine!--problems with dd, mom's health problems, buying a house and moving AGAIN).

Count your blessings and be happy that you're "dull"!

I usually feel blessed and lucky. We may not have a whole lot of excitement but even when I'm feeling down or upset by something I can read something and realize how lucky I am.

Excitement in my world usually translates to CHAOS. I'll take same ole routine anytime and throw in something special (vacations!) every now and then.

When I read the threads I often realize how lucky I am. Course I am younger than most of the posters and am not completely in the real world yet, but it makes me realize how lucky my whole family is.

Now, Now. I've been called verbose from time to time. And every once in a while, I tend to ramble on and on about a subject, but that certainly doesn't make me boring.

In fact, I would beg to differ that it makes me a very interesting person to talk to and get to know. After all, I enjoy talking about many subject matters, and have a vast knowledgebase with which to entertain the masses.

For instance, did you know that The evolution of billiards can actually be traced to the centuries preceding the Renaissance (approx. 1100 AD)? I mean, you can't make this stuff up!

Of course it was not the modern incarnation that we know it as today - billiards, like many other sports, went through a rather large evolution process. And now, it takes the form as you now see it. From a simple game played by royalty to a game now mastered by drunks in a bar.

Bars like Cheers! What a great evolution it is!

Having a happy, stable home life with no financial or legal troubles doesn't make me "dull". I don't think having one crisis after the other would necessarily make it more exciting either. It would be stressful and frustrating, to say the least.

I guess my definition of "exciting" includes more trips, adventures, and friends, not lawyers, cops, and collection agents.

I lead a pretty dull life too. Aside from some financial issues, which I am very grateful to the financially smart people on the DIS for helping me figure out, I have no serious problems in my life.

Stable relationship, nice family, good friends, some annoying neighbors but mostly I  at them, disney trips once in a while and a cute puppy.

Most days, I come home from work, have dinner, do stuff around the apartment, maybe work on crafts or photos for a bit, read then sleep.

Not really the makings of a movie of the week.

Actually what I really wonder is-

"do these people make this stuff up?"...some of the happenings sound way to far out to be actual daily events. I"m sure most of them are, but I dont know anyone with 1/2 the stuff happening that happens to members here!

I agree, I'm very fortunate- DH owns his own company, which is quite able to pay the bills, my kids are healthy, love school, get along well with one another, my MIL is not a demon, We're in no legal or financial trouble, and DH and I are best of friends.

Every now and then we go away on vacations- thats a bonus!
