Like it better when it is totally dark and totally silent or some light and noise?

I used to sleep with the TV on all night. My mom would come into my room and shut it off and I would immediately wake up and turn it back on and go right back to sleep. DH was total opposite, he needed total dark and silence.

We now have a nightlight and play a waterfall CD on repeat all night long

I usually like it with no noise, no light...though if I am having trouble sleeping, I just turn on the TV and try to watch...for some reason, this puts me out like a light.

Cave-like....dark and cold. I leave the TV on to fall asleep, but set the timer to shut it off. I thought I was the only one that slept with one leg out of the covers....I don't feel so strange anymore

Yep, one leg out, one leg in for me too. I like it cold and dark. I crack the window open even in the winter and always run the fan.

Another who likes one leg out. But DH likes to be completely covered. He's the freak, I guess, based on this thread.

I like it cold, dark, and quiet. I'm guilty of closing the door so the kitties can't sleep with us. Tycho doesn't share the bed! And they have each other to play/sleep with. I'm not a bad mom... I'm not!

No light, no noise and occasionally I do keep one leg out of the covers. My grandmother used to do the same thing.

Must have a fan humming-even have to take the fan on vacation.
Must be dark and cool. Must have lots of pillows-K.C.the crazy kitten attacks my feet,so I have to keep them(feet,not cat) under a pillow!

Totally dark, totally quiet. My SO and my kids can't sleep with all the lights out though.

The tube shines when I go to sleep, but the volume is turned down low. I also require a fan. I can't sleep without it. I even have a desktop fan that I take with me when I not sleeping at home. I CANNOT sleep when it's warm. I can't imagine being without AC. I will use minimal heat in the winter time.

It has to be cool and I have to have a fan blowing on me. I can sleep with some light or in the dark--quiet or noisy. I have 4 kids so I havent had perfect sleeping conditions in 16 years!!
