tell the hotel you are SOLO or have reservation for 2? I usually have a Friend of mine meet me at the hotel(later on) but next trip I WILL be ALONE! Should I say ressie for 2 or room for one?

They ask the question of "How many adults?" and "How
many children?" I always say; "Just one adult; no children"
I still request 2 beds (instead of one king) because I found
it handy to put some of my stuff on the other bed.

CLAUDIA: ME too!:D Also, my Friend only stays one night and I stay longer, so I use Both beds, one one night the other the next night, etc!:D I'm always afraid that the Maids are going to know that only ONE is in the room and I will get in some kind of trouble! :D

I always say how many people are actually staying in the room. If I am on a solo trip I say 1, if my kids are with me I say 3. When I am solo I like having the king bed and always request it. The room seems so much larger with just the one bed, often King bed rooms have a refrigerator in them (which is free!) and I love having the big king bed. At home I have a double bed so the King bed is enormous to me and I thoroughly enjoy it.

When I went solo I said only one. Next year I made a ressie for 2 as my girlfriend was suppose to go. Now she can't go so I will be calling to change it back to a single person and also ask if POR will be open then. My heart will be broken if I can't stay there. :(

Can I hope for an upsell to AKL?:D :D

I say "one adult" and request a king-sized bed! :D What a treat!

For me, I just tell them one. I still like to have the two beds as I use one to lay out stuff on it.

When I go solo, I usually tell them that I am staying solo. I always request a building somewhat close to the main building, so as to not have to walk to far at night alone. I always foget to ask for a king bed though.
