Just wondered what everyone else done on the day they travel, after landing and settling into your accommodation??

We're planning on a quiet swim and a meal at the hotel food court as will probably be exhausted by then??

What do you do first??

Our last few trips we normally go to Epcot for an hour or so to do a few rides then head to DTD to the RFC for dinner!!!! :teeth: A swim and dinner at the hotel does sound relaxing though!!

Sleep

We have always seemed to land in a evening there time.I think this time it was coming up for 10 before we arrived at the villa,to exhausted to do anything else.

Same routine every time ... DW and DD unpack while DS and I go to the supermarket. Then we order a pizza for delivery and shower while we wait for it to come. By 10:00 PM we're all falling asleep so we go to bed only to wake up at around 4:00 AM .... then the holiday begins !

Firstly we all rush around the villa oohing and aahing. Then I take pictures of all the rooms - I won't let anyone bring in any cases until it's done! :sad2: - whilst dh finds the controls to heat up the spa.

Then it's straight out to the supermarket for provisions. If we're travelling with my brother and sister-in-law then I do the supermarket with my brother whilst dh and s-i-l unpack. They always tell us not to be ages, but once we're let loose near food we can't seem to help ourselves! If we're travelling with anyone else, we usually go to the supermarket en-masse.

Next it's back to the villa where we open all the meats, cheeses and salads and everyone makes their own sub rolls, production-line style.

Finally (and this is my favourite bit) we relax in the jacuzzi with a glass of wine or a cold beer. Or both. :teeth:

Because we generally don't arrive on-site until 6pm EST time (11pm UK time) we generally have a light supper, unpack than hang out a bit at the holel before going to bed.

One year, we started out at AKL concierge (got a great AP discount), went straight to bed on arrival then up at 4:30 am EST (9:30 UK) for Sunrise Safari the next morning. No jet lag at all on arrival, though we had the usual problems on our return.

Go to the Hotel lobby and collect every brochure available.

It's usually early evening and the Family start to feel tired (UK is 4 hours ahead). We used to visit The Mystery Fun House before it closed down.

Our first day is ALWAYS at Sea World, as it's less crowded.

We normally arrive mid afternoon.

We stop off at a supermarket on the way to the villa for provisions then we unpack and check out the villa whilst DS and DD head straight for the pool (weather permitting).

We're normally in bed asleep by 9pm.

Hello,

Wouldnt bother with a park the first afternnon, too exhausted to enjoy it!

Unpack cases go out for a bite to eat then relax by the pool before bed at 10pm ish.

Did manage to squeeze a bit of clothes shopping in though as we drove right passed a mall after getting lost on way back to hotel!

Unpack a little, get changed, and wander down where ever we are staying for something to eat,and then we come back, straight to bed,and then wake early hours, shower and then the holiday starts... :)

Usually explore the resort and go out for a bite to eat and then bed.

We definitely don't go to a park as I like to "save" that for my first whole day.

We too tend to arrive at hotel about 7-8pm.....unpack take a wander up I Drive and get dinner, stop into minimart on way back and are normally all snorring by 10pm....Up and showered by 6am, off to pondarosa for a hearty breakfast then hit the first park

Arrive at the villa about 4.30 pm, quick unpack then I drive off to Publix to stock up.
My wife will do the ironing on my return, get my son off to sleep and then no doubt get up with him about 3am the following morning.

I normally go to the toilet!!!

LOL!!

Next trip I am planning to head to either Epcot or MGM (we should arrive at Sanford at 3pm - I'll stress the should!!)

Normally I would just go to DTD but it is my birthday and I have a day left on my tickets from last visit so quite fancy a go on either Mission:Space or ToT for my birthday!

Have a drink!!

DH makes us stay up as late as we can as he says it helps jet lag. Still wake up 3 o'clock in the morning though.
