OK it's holiday time again so it is my time to panic. :rotfl2: Does anyone else do this?

What if the car can't get to the airport in the snow?

What if the children get a virus at school in the next week?

What if the plane can't take off and is cancelled?

And why oh why did I book with Thomas Cook, so many problems still no tickets............................. when would you panic if your tickets hadn't arrived?

Keep your fingers crossed for me.:wave2:

Hey my tickets didnt arrive either so i rang them and they said i could collect them at the airport and i did just that and all was fine =D i didnt have any problems really with Thomas cook. We were delayed by a day (coming back) which was fine by us got to stay in a Hilton somewhere and relax x

I dont panic Im too excited about going on holiday!:cheer2:

NATASHA&MATT THANKS FOR THAT, keeping my fingers crossed that all will be ok as I wanted to do online check in on Friday.
gemmybear83 you sound like my husband, so chilled, wish I could be but I'm so neurotic after all the planning.

I am exactly the same, it is totally normal. Even have dreams several months in advance.

I am the same. The week before we go I am absolutely suicidal and always wish we had never booked! The second I get to the check-in at the airport though I am a whole new person! You are normal . . . its all those calm people that need help!!:rotfl2:

PS - Disney have already told us we wont get our cruise tickets before we leave the UK (as we are leaving 2 weeks before the cruise date). They have assured me it is fine, but I am still completely panic stricken! How am I going to get ont he shop without tickets!?

We leave 16 days before our cruise, don't worry about it. Last year we cruised RCCL (as well as Disney:goodvibes ) they don't even send tickets out, all online or at the port. Tickets are just about a thing of the past now. Everything from Park tickets to airline seats, shows, everything should be a ref # only, there is no need for tickets.

We are totally the opposite, we never worry about a thing, we once missed plane, run out of cars on arrival, only 1 room when we booked 2, allsorts of things but all works out in the end:)

I panic about everything, my main worry this year is that its my first trip with my mum and i'm going with a first-timer. So everything is resting on my shoulders :upsidedow

I agree, I don't like to have too many tickets if I can help it.. Just another thing I could potentially lose! :faint: The only thing i've been really worried about with holidays was my first connecting flight last year which ended up being absolutely fine :thumbsup2

DON'T PANIC!!

Deep breath, count to 10 and tell yourself it will all be fine. Which it will be!

We flew a few years ago and had a panic about the tickets. They hadn't arrived 4 days before we were due to fly and I phoned the agent. They said they would be at the airport to collect and we just needed to show proof of our names ie passport.

Luckily I took the printed confirmation and flight schedule - hadn't realised it was an e-ticket. We got to the the desk, showed our passports and were told they couldn't do anything without a reference number. I showed them the paperwork and no problems.

Just keep it at the front of your mind that you are going to the happiest place on earth and any challenges (not problems) can be sorted :goodvibes

thanks to all those other panickers and also the born optomists among you. A big thanks to all the planning help too for this trip and our last one! :thumbsup2

With a bit of luck I will be posting my trip report in a couple of weeks without any mishaps.:)

You can do an online check in with DCL a few weeks before your cruise so you don't physically need tickets. That's what we plan to do as we leave a couple of weeks before and Dreams Unlimited have told us to do it this way too.

we are known as the relaxed family LOL!!

I tend to book very early on our vacations, keep all the email correspondance in a folder, make sure about a month before we go I have everything and thats it. Usually pack about 2 weeks before, do online check-in and we're the last out of the lounge onto the aircraft - just cant be doing sitting in that seat longer than we have to. Why do those people crowd around the desk queuing waiting to get on when there seat rows arent even called ..... the plane wont take off any faster!

Whatever is thrown in our path - just deal with it and make the best of it. Nothing worse than being a stressed out holiday maker

:rotfl: We're also amazed by the amount of people who do this....why???? you're on holiday... relax.... your seats are already allocated, what's the rush?

I know! they're barmy! I'd rather sit in the departures area for those extra few minutes rather than stand waiting and queing and then stand waiting and queing all the way down the ramp into the plane!:confused3

Oh lordy don't mention it.

I'm sure you'll all be fine and soon be sunning it up..have a wonderful time:goodvibes

I'm a total stress head! lol

I know when I'm there I'll be fine and can relax but not until then. I know I'll be worrying like mad in the last week, thinking I'd forgotten something, trying to find everything I need, worrying I'll get to the airport and realise I haven't got my passport etc lol!

Now I'm worrying that something will happen to make the holiday not happen. I won't be able to pay it off, something will go wrong with getting passports, someone will be ill, flight cancelled etc.

Untill we land in Orlando, I'll be worrying lol.

madmumof2 I'm so with you, perhaps we were separated at birth LOL

Well, the tickets arrived today with three days to spare so that is one less stress. Once I'm at the resort I truly believe my holiday has begun and I really envy those relaxed fliers.
