When would you go??????????

I am Florida resident and want to make a quick long weekend trip -- when would you go--- the first Thursday-Saturday of December or the weekend after New year's????????????

If you go the beginning of December you will get to se the Christmas Decorations without the crowds. The Weekend after New Year's is the WDW Marathon so it is a bit more crowded and a little crazy.

I'd vote for the first option too, because it'll probably be less crowded, and I believe the hotel rates might be better as well.

The weekend after New Year's might be the marathon weekend. I "ran" in it last year and it was right around that time. Certain hotels will be very crowded with charity organizations. Last year, I believe they were PO (where our group stayed) and CB. I'm not sure about this year. Might want to look into it. In any case, the crowds weren't bad, but the weather is a bit unpredictable. One year I was wearing sweatshirts and long pants. Last year it was HOT - shorts, and t-shirts.

I would much rather go in December to see all the Christmas decorations. It's so magical!!!

Only 4 days til we're in the World!!! Whoopeeee!!!

Went last year and going this year to participate. The difference this year is that the races have been split into two days (sat and sun) so that they can accomodate more runners. So there is the potential for 40,000 runners plus....

I would go your December time frame.
