I can't decide when we should go cruise on the Magic, so I need your help!!! On our first cruise (3 night wonder) we were not able to dock at CC. That was such a bummer, and the kids and I had tears in our eyes, we were really looking forward to it. So, next year we want to go on a cruise, and these are my 2 choices what would you do? :confused3

Cruise #1.

Western Carribean.... AND we would be on the ship during our Anniversary!

Cruise #2

The specialty cruise with 2 stops at CC, Costa Maya and Cozumel

I am leaning toward cruise #2 and maybe trying to talk DH into flying down an extra day early (on our Anniversary) and go to the Magic Kingdom the day we get there. BUT, this cruise is 1500$$ more than the first, and we would be putting out more $$ for a trip to MK and more overnight stays.

HELP!!!

Disney is so expensive to begin with, so if there is ever a reason you can get a cheaper fare but getting the same basic service, I always go that rought.

Otherwise, I would pick #1 so that you can be on the ship during your Anniversary.

Save the extra money to spend and the Western Ports are great...I was just in Key West and Cozumel in January and loved them both!! :sunny:

Plus it's your Anniversary!! :lovestruc

I would have to say that I would choose the Western Caribbean. Simply because if the DH and I ever do get to do a 7-dayer, I would choose the Western iteniary (sp?). Also, you can't beat being onboard for your anniversay, it would just make it that much more magical!

Hi :wave2:

Being the obsessive person that I am, I would go the sooner I could.. :)
And being there for your anniversary would be great!!! There is the REAS you could do, as well as many others.

Whatever one you decide, it will be the right one for your family. :sunny:

You can make up for your missed day at CC by going twice. If money is an issue take the regular, but if you want to enjoy CC go twice. Good luck deciding.

careful with jan/feb for western.......we just did DCL western in january and we were told we lucked out with the weather. the western two weeks earlier..didn't tender at grand cayman or dock at castaway key due to rough seas. seems to be common fot hat time of year.

:cold: :cold: Although the ports were nice....I won't sail in the WINTER months EVERY AGAIN!! Rough rough seas the whole time ecspecially at night!! The wind and night air was very cold... :cold:

We got lucky and Key West and Cozumel were in the 80's and nice while there. I did not want to get back on and sail away from them.

We love late Fall sailing!!!! Lovely weather...I will take the risk of a late Hurricaine over sailing in January again! :guilty:

We've cruised twice in early and mid-February. Awesome weather and calm seas. Just cruised in January, a little iffy on the weather and the seas were a little rough. But it was way nicer than New Jersey in winter, especially since we got a foot of snow while we were a way.

The next cruise we are planning on booking will be at the end of next February.

My vote is to go for the cheaper of the two and put the extra savings towards booking another cruise while onboard!
