When would you go?

I'm going to be one of those people...... I have two options to go in 2019: Jan 19-27 (over MLK) or Feb 16-24 (over Presidents day). My biggest concern is crowds. Does either date have an edge over the other one?

It doesn't matter. Go whenever you feel is better. You won't notice an appreciable difference in crowds.

I'm leaning toward Jan. Feb will be closer to spring, a little warmer. Jan week will cooler, MLK not quite as busy as Pres Day but still busy. Jan you'll catch the Festival of the Arts. Late Feb will be the Flower & Garden. So if you do the interim Feb week you might be festival-less if that matters. It's such a close call tho I don't think you can go wrong with either. I would look at kids' school schedule and see which has them missing less important events. A key school thing in there might be the deciding factor.

If it were me I'd do January.
Bother are over a holiday but most schools only have MLK day off where as a lot of schools have the entire week of Pres Day off.

I think MLK will be slightly better. Yes, everyone has off the Mondays, but for President's week, a lot of school districts, especially in the NE give the whole week off.

Yikes! I didn't realize some schools get out the whole week! Leaning towards January!
