When would YOU go??

Would you go either the end of Sept/early Oct OR the beginning of December?

We're trying to decide on next year's trip and are looking for some advice! TIA!

we have been allllllllllllllllll of those times, Sept is hotter than hades!!! Seriously...really really really hot like ppl wanng go to their air conditioned rooms hot,

Oct is nice, low crowds, more crowded as halloween parties happen...

Dec weather is great, busy closer to holiday week obviously, so I vote OCT,no question!

As MousekaMaddi says, end of Sept is HOT, early Oct is nicer... crowds are relatively light. Early Dec the weather is nice, but maybe even a little chilly some days depending on where YOU are from and what YOU are used to. We are from Montana, and I don't care how cold the locals say it is, we always find it to be plently warm in FL. Of course, we wear short-sleeves and shorts at 55° in MT, we are weird that way...

Anyhow, I think the biggest question if *I* were considering those two times would be; What do you most want to see/do? Would you most enjoy the fall decorations and the Halloween events? Or would you most enjoy the Christmas decorations and events? Would you like to do the Not So Scary Halloween Party? Or the Very Merry Christmas Party? Would you like to see Candlelight Processional? There is so much to do at either of those times... either one would be an awesome time to visit!

We went two weeks ago and it was very hot!! The crowds were okay toward the beginning of the week (Sun-Wed) but Thurs to Saturday was very crowded. I heard, though, that Orlando schools were out for some sort of holiday which may be why the crowds. I would still recommend Oct to go, though.

That's a good point Sorsha made about the weather. We like early December but we're from Idaho so 55-65 is great weather after a few months up here in the cold.

We've been a few times in September and it is very very hot most of the day but that doesn't bother us as much as the "Love Bugs" do. The last two times we were there in Sept. they were really bad.

I should mention that we typically go every year during the last week of Sept/first week of Oct. So, I know what I'm in for temp-wise. We're all about the water parks so the heat doesn't bother us.

As a matter of fact, the lack of heat is what is causing us to be unsure about going in Dec.

I'm not a huge MNSSHP fan, we've been 3 times and have no intentions of going again.

If you usually go Sept/Oct then change things up and go late October.
Halloween

If December gives you pause, how about mid November. The Holiday decor is up and most if not all parades/shows are going.

We're extremely ecstatic we are going in December for the Holiday festivities. We usually go the end of August which is hot & humid.

Go early December, especially if you've already experienced MNSSHP and the Halloween decorations. The Christmas decorations are supposed to be magnificent (I've never gone during Christmas season) and the weather is great. With the heated pools, it's even swimmable if you're brave!

My wife was at All-star Sports resort last January with her sister and she said the pool was steaming.
The air temperature was in the 40s at night and there were people in the pool.

I'm definitely gonna try the resort pool in December, averages at night in the 50s, it'll be interesting. Running back to our room wearing flip flops and a wet towel Brrr

You DO take your chances on the weather when you go in December, but if it's the first week, you're USUALLY going to have it fairly good. If you're really "into" swimming and water parks, I'd be sure to go early October.

When it comes to the crowds, the first week of December is really good. AND you get to see all the wonderful decorations!! We were there for the 1st week of Dec. in 2006, and sometimes there were only 10-15 people in the lines. We walked through, and I mean THROUGH ... to the beginning ... on all the biggest attractions (Mission Space, TOT, and all the others except Soarin') sometimes 3 x in a row! It was crazy.

That being said, usually once the kids are back in school, (Sept) it's a good time to go.

I enjoy the parks most in early December because the weather is cooler plus it's very festive!

End of September early October is my personal favorite! Crowds are smaller and its a little cooler by Florida standards. Also they start serving Sam Adams Octoberfest at the Spoodles pizza window on the Boardwalk. Ah... my happy place!
