When would you go?

I am planning our trip for next year. I have 2 weeks in mind...either Saturday, Sept. 27th - Saturday, Oct. 4th or Oct. 4th - 11th. I am planning the trip so it will end before the Columbus Day Holiday of Monday, Oct. 13th. Any preference on which week?

The Oct. 4 timeframe would seem to give you more options for MNSSHP, and it would be a tad cooler.

Just got back last night and if that is Columbus day week it will be packed. I thought it was a madhouse this past week. Our dates were Oct.3- 11. We will take DD out of school next time instead of going over fall break. I would take the heat of early September any day over the crowds this past week. Also it was only 5 degrees cooler and it rained the first 4 days. We sure used the poncho's alot.

I think that Oct 4 set of dates looks better...better chance of catching MNSSHP and Cooler Temps
