Hi there-- we plan a late-January 2004 trip to Disney. When would you all book a trip for then, as it should be a less crowded time? (We're hung up between which Jan. weekend but I wondered if we should just nail it down and get on with reserving. Also, we know where we want to stay etc. but Value Season dates have not been posted. Decisions, decisions. Thanks!

.....I booked this morning!!!!! Just one less thing to worry about!

I have already made my reservation for the end of January - beginning of February. I have and annual pass and will change when the codes come out for that. If you know where you want to stay, make your reservation now! The dates to watch in January are Martin Luther King Day and the Marathon. Both of these dates are mid January. The value season for 2004 ends February 12. Just book now and then you can always change if you find a discount in the future. I have been there over the MLK Holiday and over the Marathon, I try to avoid it now.....its a big difference in the crowds.
:D

Thanks guys!! I will book now. Yes, why wait and worry when you can fine-tune later if need be.

I love this board. Thanks again for your helpful replies.

JJ - if you know you will be going to Hoop Dee Doo or the Luau at the Poly - book that now also. You can book these dinner shows two years out, and the earlier you book the better your table. If you book now, you'll have a table front and center for either show!

See you in January! We are braving the MLK weekend, but the days before and after will be crowd-free (I hope . . . )

Hey Harambe, indeed I was planning on (trying for) Hoop Dee Doo. An excellent point about early booking/good seating! My family would be thrilled. Thanks so much-- JJ

Your best bet is to book as soon as you're certain on the date. I just booked a early January 2004 reservation a few weeks ago, plus u can always change it if something comes up

Is it really bad over MLK weekend? Friday, saturday and sunday, I figured it would be light on crowds, Eeeek!!!!

We are going in April week after Easter,I want to book, but I dont know where to book as POR will probably not accept bookings. There are 5 in our party and deluxe resorts are only for special occassions budget wise:(
I thought of the fort wilderness cabins, (I prefer hotels) but I have heard they are a big walking distance.:(

We're going 12/27-1/12 and have been booked for some time. I would go ahead a book your stay.

Hi ~
O.K. maybe I'm an obsessive travel planner...

I've already booked for April 2004. Found an internet entertainment rate for the Swan Club level & booked it!
Also have bought & paid for our airline tickets, since a new airline came to town and we were able to get the best deal!! :Pinkbounc

I figure the more I can get paid for in advance (spread the cost out a bit), the better!

I'd definitely book the Hoop De Doo review, since your dates are firm. You'll have excellent seating.

....for next summer's trip on the flight home from the last trip!
That was November,2000!!! So,to me the summer of '04 is right around the corner!! I actually started counting at 625 days out and now I'm at 390!
Really,I knew then that our next trip was going to be atleast 10 days instead of the 5 we were used to.I learned a lot from that trip and these boards. This is the first trip I haven't used a travel agent. I'm a little less freeked about it since taking some of the first steps in making reservations. Its definitely more to think about but I have to admit I'm really enjoying the involvement I have in planning. Will I get a lot of deals? Probably not,but who knows! I'm gonna try!
So,if anyone here is going to be there next year around 7/7/04,
I'll be at the Dolphin celebrating my 50TH birthday!!!!! Now how wicked cool is that, turning 50 at WDW!!!!!!!

We are going in Jan '04 to participate in the marathon and have had our rooms (AKL & BWI Concierge) booked for a number of months already. I did that so I would just start paying off that big bill ahead of time. I know the rates will be adjusted when the 2004 rates come out and hopefully will get adjusted again *if* AP rates are released for my time period. At least this way I have exactly what I want booked and don't have to worry about it.

Good Luck with your ressies!

as POR will probably not accept bookings.
I just read on another post that someone was able to book POR for Nov. 2003 (might have been through the website). ~:D ~

We have been booked for January for awhile now.
(Arrive a few days before the marathon and stay 8 nights.)
CSR will be full for the marathon. Even when I booked a month or so ago, during marathon time only water view rooms were available.
Any holiday weekend is more busy. But during January I don't see a big problem for MLK weekend. We usually leave that Saturday, but spend a paritial day at MGM. We can tell it is busier. But it still isn't bad. It's just during the week it's dead.

We stay at SOG where we always make our reservation 53 weeks ahead because they always fill up.
