I stayed at PO Riverside from 9/9/23 thru 9/11/23 (should have been 9/12/23 but I needed to check out early). I booked through Priceline. I have already received my post-visit survey from Disney, but haven't received a bounce back offer.

I will add that while I was on the boat to DS one afternoon a family who was leaving that day had already received an email with a bounce back offer.

Does everyone receive one? I'm thinking Disney knows my habits and knows I'll return lol

You don't need an email. There was something in the room but it is not obvious. You have up to 7 days after checkout, just call and book one! Details are in the bounceback thread in the discount section above.

You don't even need a special phone number to book the bounce back. Just call Disney reservations and tell them that you want to book the bounce back offer. We did that yesterday and there weren't any problems getting the discount. We were currently sitting in our hotel room when we called, but that didn't make a difference, since I used my cell phone to call Disney reservations.

OP, just a heads-up. If you want to book a room-only reservation using the bounceback, you have to be very specific when you call to book it because they automatically make a package reservation, even if the package doesn't include park tickets.

I know this because my sister booked our bounceback dates and sent me the confirmations and only after staring at them did I realize they'd given her packages instead of room-only reservations. So she called back, explained, and they changed them.

They tried to do that to me when I called. They tried to sell me trip insurance, too. She was pushy about that. When I told her that we were annual passholders and didn't need tickets she first booked it as a ticketless package. When I told her that I didn't want the ticketless package because I wanted the 5 day cancellation policy that came with the resort only reservation, I lost the call with her. I had to call back and the second CM didn't try to give me the package deal. She booked it the way I wanted it without the sales pitch.

Didn't receive anything physical or an email about the bounceback offer from my previous two stays (checked out of All Star Sports 4 days ago and BWI 2 days ago).

Currently at the Contemporary and I see the bounceback offer on the in room TV (between other channels). Still nothing physical though!

My email in July came the day of checkout. Parts of the email:

We returned last week from CBR and didn’t receive anything and nothing was in the room. There already are and will be more discounts popping up for next year.

We all know what "lost the call" means... CM pushes disconnect button :rotfl:

We received no email re bounceback and there was nothing in the room. If it weren't for the DIS, we would not have known about it. Thank you, DIS!

ETA: We were at AKL in July.

No info in my Pop room or BWI. No email or other reminder.

Until I saw it mentioned on the DIS I completely forgot about it, thankfully I still have a couple days to book!

Can you explain the difference between a package that doesn’t include park tickets and a room only reservation?

A room-only reservation requires a one-night deposit and can be changed, or canceled for a full refund, up to 5 days before check-in. Final payment is due at check-in.

A package reservation, even without tickets, requires a $200 deposit and final payment is due 30 days before check-in. You can change or cancel your reservation up to 30 days before check-in without penalty. Cancellations made 29 days to 2 days before check-in have a $200 cancellation fee. If canceled 1 day before check-in, the full package price is nonrefundable. There are other restrictions and fees as well.

Check out this mousesavers link for the entire room-only vs. package information.

If you're reserving only a room and are purchasing your tickets elsewhere or have an AP, a room-only reservation is the way to go. It offers the most flexibility.

Thank you for this! I will check out the link. Is there usually a price difference too? I feel a little silly thinking they were so helpful when I said I wanted room only but now looking for a “basic” package.

There's no price difference in the actual room rate.

The important points are the change and cancellation policies. The package policies are quite restrictive. With a room-only reservation the worst that could happen is you'd lose your one night's deposit. With the package reservation, you could conceivably lose the entire cost of the package if you canceled the day before arrival, and you'd lose the $200 deposit if you canceled between days 29 and 2 days before arrival.

I'm not sure why you--or anyone, really--would need a package. You can purchase tickets separately with ease, often at a discount through an authorized vendor like Undercover Tourist. The packages throw you a mini golf voucher, which is something you might not even use or want to use.

The only time I ever booked a package was several years ago when WDW had packages for a 7-night trip but you paid for only 4 nights. It was well worth it. But I haven't seen anything like that in years.

Bounceback can be initiated by dialing #8844 from in your room.

Good # to remember. Even if you don’t get a flier or email, your stay qualifies.
